Los Ingobernables de Sala de Cine
True Mothers is a solid drama by Naomi Kawase about a couple who adopt a baby and the child's teen mother who tries to recapture her life. Some developments including a couple back and forths in time make the story a bit too convoluted, possibly a result of it being adapted from a novel. Regardless it is effective at times, plus it wouldn't be a Naomi Kawase film without gorgeous shots of nature and characters bathing in light.
