Rey Mysterio has easily sold 10x more merch than Punk. And I mean I think 10x is LOW. And Jeff Hardy was number 2 or 3 (behind Cena and Rey) for like 5 years, he has also outsold Punk by 5x EASILY. And I literally mean easily. The shirts, the pendants, the arm sleeves, the hats, his action figures, hell they were even selling a Jeff Hardy MASK of his facepaint the last 6 months of his run before he quit.

Punk has had one year of merch sales, his other shirts sold NOTHING.
When have you EVER seen ANYONE in a WWE crowd rock these shirts?

Jan 2009 WO newsletter said Hardy is "right behind Cena for a while now in WWE merchandise sales, it was one of their big reasons why they went with him as WWE Champion"

Feb 2012 WO newsletter said "Cena and Punk were neck for top sales and the company was surprised that Zack Ryder was 3rd."

Also, Meltzer just said in September that Hardy has been "leaps and bounds" TNA's biggest merch seller.

It's just one barometer. Online worldwide sales DO count, no matter who refutes it. But houseshow and live events measure into it everything just as much. And there are ENDLESS reports on Bryan/Cena/Punk stuff selling out LIVE....you've seen an audience and you've seen what fills those audiences up every single week on Monday and Friday. It's no secret or surprise.
