You can't be serious. Who was checking for a Broncos vs Texans game in 2007? If anything, they got that rating for going up against Impact. The .6 that occured when they switched ECW to a Thursday. Broncos faced the Texans that day.
JMurder said:You mean like how you ignored all of the normal ratings that Punk had done? Like how you ignore that the ratings HISTORICALLY fall during football season? Like how you ignored that the highest ratings during Morrison's reign were in matches against Punk? Like how you ignored the downward trend that occurred with EVERY ECW Champion before Punk?
keep trolling TGO. Morrison was doing 1.3's weeks before he dropped the title to Punk. The TAPED Punk championship win rated higher than most of Morrison's reign.
And you can't son me with links that I used to disprove your trolling ass FIRST what's wrong with you
The main event garnered a 2.67 cable rating (2.55 for the first half of the bout), which was the lowest-rated main event on Raw in 2011 and possibly the lowest since Dec. 8, 1997 for a non-holiday show in its regular time slot. The overrun gained 59,000 viewers, which is considered terrible.
People watch football regardless of who is playing. Don't you know this? You can't be serious. Who was checking for a Broncos vs Texans game in 2007? If anything, they got that rating for going up against Impact.
Raw ratings do fall during football season, but not to the levels it has this year. There has been two non-holiday shows at 2.5. Ratings that low haven't been seen since the 90's. It's no coincidence that Punk is always involved in a rating that is the lowest since sometime in the 90's.
Remember last year when IWC favorites Punk, Bryan, and Ryder main evented.

Still, maybe the ECW ratings dropped because of Impact
If Raw ratings fall during football season, and Raw ratings have been trending downward for years, what do you think is gonna happen? Raw hasn't had a 4 rating since early 2009...this belief that champions cause ratings dips are retarded since the ratings have been dropping regardless of who's running the show. Where's Cena's flack for the ratings moonwalk? He was champion for the majority of the ratings dip. Where's The Rocks flack for the ratings dip when his program with Cena was front and center on Raw for the month leading up to Wrestlemania?
.
Did you know: The average rating of Monday Night Raw in 1999 was 5.9?
In his case, that didn't matter. Why? The bottom line was it all about who bought WM and it was the most bought international WWE PPV ever. Something that never was possible or gonna happen with the Jeff Hardys, Punks, or Kofis headlining Mania. Didn't happen with Mayweather being there. Didn't happen with that endless Michaels/Taker or Taker/Cripple H program. Nearly 2.5 million buys in two years because of the Rock. He's beyond TV ratings. He's a bottom line and once again the biggest draw of 2012.
All I can say is the truth.
They brought in heyman, rock, they fed him CENA, and everyone under the sun....he is not a draw period
I don't know if it's a coincidence, but AEW viewership shot back up to regularly above 1M after he disappeared
I did not see this new landscape of TV rights fees comingYou guys put WAAAAYYY too much importance to ratings when that shyt ain't that relevant nowadays. It's fun for stan wars and #TSCfukkery but in reality, ratings are the least important aspect when it comes to drawing money.
