I wouldn't say Robert Downey Jr carried the Avengers...fans were laughing HARD during alot of that Hulk stuff..they did get loud and had alot of chuckles over Downey's lines too. They liked the Johannsen part where she pretended to break down over Hawkeye and got that info from Loki while he was locked up. I get the point because he did start the whole franchise and is the MVP of the series.

She got 4-6 mil for Avengers I think, along with Sam Jackson. Everyone else got 2-4 I think, except RDJ who got 50 plus.

There isn't a single actor involved with any of these films that aren't replaceable. Those characters were around BEFORE most of those actors were born and none of the actors really added anything to the characters that wasn't already there.

And what the fukk makes you think they have to hit quota for the next film? Avengers is the third highest grossing film of all time. The sequel isn't likely to top that regardless of who the actors are portraying the characters.


In these types of films actors get replaced. By your logic The Dark Knight should have bombed because Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson aren't in it.
