I cant wait until some of yall get in a situation where you have a 300,000 house dropped down to 225k because of some neighbor just having fun out there. In the grand scheme of things yeah he's just making folks mad, but when you start to affect my property value then I have a problem. I say spray paint the hell out of the inside but lets say I try to sell my house and his harmless fun costs me 30% in terms of the value of my house. You really can't justify the shyt he is doing no matter how you look at it.

This dumb ass nikka doesn't realize he is helping to depreciate the value of his neighborhood and/or community.

If you wanted to be a rebel and go against the grain from the norm then he should've bought some land out in the middle of nowhere and build his house from the ground up that way nobody would bother him.

He would also be a true dumb ass if he pays monthly or quarterly HOA's and not giving a damn about what it says in the bylaws regarding situations like this.
Most of these dumb fukks in here saying he should be able to do what he wants have lived in the hood all their lives and dont understand nor can they appreciate taking pride in home ownership.

I'll be mad as fuk also, if i'm just a regular working 9 to 5 person and i'm living here for the past 10 to 20 years and this celebrity comes in and make the neighborhood look tacky and at anytime he can pick up and move and u can't imagine what the inside look like.. n!gga probably got duck tales or teletubbies all over his walls..

watch this n!gga move in a few months and the owners have to go in and refurbished the whole house.

it's not black and white issue on this one.

crazy how reg white folks working at payless can just live in Chris Browns neighborhoods but we gotta sell millions of albums to be able to live in a home like that.

9 outta 10 people who have wealth like that inherited it
, Brown is probably the only person in that neighborhood who achieved it from the bottom up.

Honestly, as long as he has nothing racially offensive/hate images on his property he has a right to do whatever he wants with it IMO.

I'm not a big Chris Brown fan but support whatever makes those cacs mad

:dwillhuh: how the hell you working at payless but have enough money to live in a mansion?

I know you thought you were being deep when you wrote that but you're just sounding dumb as hell breh.

I'm not sure why he ( or anyone for that matter) is mad at people for inheriting wealth. That's what's SUPPOSED to happen. Every generation shouldn't be starting from the bottom.

That "property value" argument is lame and just something people use to force their will on other people. Graffiti on his house won't really effect the value of the houses around him. A potential buyer might see his house and not want to be his neighbor, but that could happen without the graffiti.

You know nothing about real estate and how property value works.

Say Chris Brown's neighbor puts his place up for sale. People see the grafitti which sticks out like a sore thumb in the area...and are no longer interested in the property at current value. So the property sits and sits and sits...the owner then drops the price. The house still sits. The owner the drops the price well below market value before it gets sold. THIS directly affects everyone on that block because when someone else goes to sell their house, they may have a hard time getting the price they want since a comp. in the area sold for far less. Do you understand how something that you think is so insignificant affects a neighborhood's property value?

Now...say there are a few Chris Browns in the area. What do you think will happen to property values?

I have no issue with folk wanting to be individuals and doing their own thing. That's fine...I only have a problem when that individuality affects other people.

i read the article about it first and it was talking about "demons painted on the wall and other scary stuff and children were terrified"......then I saw the picures and was ike :comeon: That looks like a cartoon and there's nothing scary about. Those lil kids have much more to be scared of in the real world than those cartoon looking pictures

Unless he signed with a HOA. Then there is nothing his neighbors can do :yeshrug: That city ordinance thing is bull**** and if Chris wanted to fight it he would probably win.

I know how real estate works, and I'm saying claims of "reduced property value" are always overblown.

Will his graffiti affect some potential buyers? Yes.

Will his graffiti prevent other home owners from getting full value for their homes? NO

Some buyers might not like plain looking vanilla neighborhoods, so you could argue that all white homes reduce property value as well.

At the end of the day the "property value" argument is just a way to force people to conform. It is his home and his graffiti doesn't affect anyone else's home, any more than their decorations affect his

I see this all the time, with White folks I work with, who live in great neighborhoods in DC, who I know from what they make, they can't afford living in them areas. But Mom and Dad blessing them.

Can't hate tho

My thing is...fukk the system and buck the system at every possible juncture....the same system and guidelines that are in place which applies to hoa and property value is the same system which forecloses on sweet elderly old ladies and struggling families. ..is the same system that prefers these people be homeless and have empty azz houses

...so as far as im concerned....

Burn babylon burn....fukk the system
Rage against the machine

Do u know why people get their homes foreclosed on?
