Lets be real. Most of yall Bone fans didn't even know half of what they were saying. On their biggest hit Crossroads one of the only lines from the verses that I could pick up was "I miss my Uncle Chaaaaaaaaaarles yall"
Yes, that's kind of what I'm saying. Bizzy was actually much more understandable to the average person on his solos AFTER Heaven's Movie, don't forget also he has MASSES of albums...

Bone might have had more commercial success than the Wu at one point but the Wu has a longer lasting legacy. You can put up that Wu logo anywhere in the world and people know the deal. Wouldn't be the same for Bone

Wu are legends worldwide certainly, I thought it was based on the music though. But all I was saying was the arguments seemed flawed and unfair, that's all, like I said I'm listening now to determine my pick lol.

I feel you and don't get me wrong I respect the shyt outta Bone. Musically I just thing the Wu has a better legacy. I mean they sell Wu tshirts in Target right next to Beatles and Doors tshirts

That's cool man, I'm not mad at that at all, I'm a huge Wu fan, a friend of mine does their tours, my people fukk with Wu HEAVY. Done business with both camps, respect all of them, I think like someone says it comes down to personal preference....
I think I will vote Bone ultimately, Wu might be the bigger movement but musically I think to me Bone made better music/songs so that's what I'm basing it on. Respect to both of these great legendary groups, nothing but respect to both. And if Wu wins I salute them.

You know what, that's what a lot of old ladies say about ALL Hip Hop music (Sometimes Eminem is the exception, wonder why lmao) but I feel as a Hip Hop head you get accustomed to it, even Bone, I understand nearly everything they say, particularly someone like Layzie who has always been quite clear to me.
So like you know how to listen, I'm listening now and I could tell you word for word what there saying 95 percent of the time. Plus if I don't get a word or phrase here or there sometimes I catch it later which can be quite cool lol.
Bone's albums sound very fresh, a lot of this shyt could come out today and be poppin.
