Why are people so mad that some of the positives of China are being highlighted?

Whenever those of us who support more public transportation and alternate modes of travel throughout the U.S., guys on here get real angry and call it unfeasible. To them it's impossible we ever have systems other top developed nations have had and continue to expand on.

So why be mad that China is winning the propaganda war when neither our Democrats or Republicans are committed to making that change, when those changes would help out most of the people in this country?

Clearly, U.S. citizens want what they're seeing on social media or we would all just ignore the shyt.

I rode the first Maglev train in China--the train from Shanghai to the Shanghai Pudong Airport--over 20 years ago. It was impressive then riding that fast and I could see China would eventually do it. For a country that size with that many people a massive infrastructure like they are making is 100% on point and I salute them for that.

That being said, I lived in China, speak the language, and like the country and its people, but there is no way I would move there in the Xi Jinping era. Any foreign millionaire moving there not running from something is a dumbass, Singapore is 10x better. China will jack your shyt and freedom at a whim with zero appeal.

Rich people in China (and I have talked to some) are almost universally trying to get some of their money (and kids) OUT not in.

China’s exports to US is 2% of their GDP. They don’t need us. Especially when we’ve handed the rest of the world on a silver platter. EU/Africa/ASEAN have already signaled to increase trade with China bc of these tariffs.
