Then why do airplanes exist? Lolol
This supposed to be a profound post?

Clearly it’s not for every case. 36 hour car ride vs 6 hour flight…come on…the choice is clear.

GENERALLY speaking, most long distance travel in US is done by car, as is most short- distance travel. Don’t ask me, just look at the data…

Just because y’all wanna travel in gross mass transport with dudes trying to rob you, folks fukking behind you, cum/blood/shyt on the seat that you’re sitting in, doesn’t mean that most people do.

:snooze:

You could create a DC to Boston line to get riders between those two end points in 2 hours. We just won't do it.
yeah, because you can fly it in an hour and a half :dead:

let us know when democrat politicians and their union thugs are willing to work and budget like the chinese, and we can talk about building high speed trains :mjlol: california is at what, 10x the cost overrun when they run their projections? why doesn't california show us the way, and build one?

Yea because people want to be in an airport 1-2 hours early for a hour half flight :dead: doo doo brain
and other people don't want to outlay hundreds of billions of dollars, for slower technology than a plane, because you can't wait around for an hour :umad:

democrats want these fukkin things, and yet democrat areas can't do construction effectively, because of unions. tell california to do this on time and under cost, or keep whining

Tell your slack jawed welfare states to stop taking " democrat cities " tax revenue and that would have been done

The country just isn’t willing to pay for this. I don’t like flying, but it gets the job done.

The bigger problem is the poor public transit in our cities.
The main reason i want it isn't to replace flying. If i'm traveling somewhere for a vacation a plane will always be the most efficient method of transport.
But i feel like high speed trains would ideally enable longer and faster work commutes. Traveling at 300 mph mean you could live in Cleveland and work in NYC everyday. Only an 1 hour and a half commute. I've had drives take that much time to go only 30 miles simply because of traffic was so congested.

stop lying and deflecting

As of February 2024, the estimated cost of the California High-Speed Rail (HSR) project is between $89 billion and $128 billion. This cost includes allowances for future inflation. The project's total cost has increased significantly from its original estimate of $33 billion.

take accountability for terribly-run blue areas, or stop bytching :camby: a 33 billion to 128 billion cost overrun? are you fukkin serious?
