I'm not even responding to that clown anymore. This is no longer true. That gap has closed considerably over the last 3-4 years

Also, who said the Yankees have the best front office in baseball? Man you guys and your reading comprehension...I will give you a pass since its 1:30AM in the east.
The thread is about Brian Cashman. Is he not in the FO?
I can't wonder aloud about who has the best FO in a thread about a general manager?
I'm not even responding to that clown anymore.
They are still $30M above everyone else. That's another A-Rod.
fukk outta here. Plus, they are at $200M and there are nine teams total over $100M.
Again,
Again....who said he's the best?
I can go back nine years and say he's lived off of the work of Stick Michael and Bob Watson
I thought you said the yankees fo was the best. I was a little when I read all the bs going on in here.I didn't say anyone said he was the best, OP said he was TERRIBLE.
Which isn't even entirely true. The fact the payroll is so high means he doesn't get much credit, but anyone who truly looks at the makeup of the team outside of the highest paid players can see he isn't terrible.
Wasn't Pettite asking for like $12 million, and the Yankees only paid him $2.5 mil? He got Colon who was good until the drug suspension. Held onto some good prospects.
They're at $195 and decreasing and the next team up are the Phillies at nearly $175 mil. The goal is to get below the $180 mil threshold by next year, and despite the contracts they have they can get there without too much trouble.
You can make the point without going to such an extreme that you undercut yourself.
Who are these dart-board all stars? Kuroda, the #3 starter from a non-playoff team? Nova, a homegrown, inconsistent pitcher? Russell Martin, a reclamation project? Andruw Jones, the definition of ? A past his prime, part time playing Raul Ibanez? Robbie Cano, a homegrown all star? Curtis Granderson, a player who was scuffling and came at the price of two excellent prospects? The left side of the infield, who are collectively 745 years old? Pineda, who cost the Yankees their most valuable prospect and didn't pitch an inning? Freddy Garcia, who is Freddy Garcia? Andy Pettite, who was retired, then had a broken leg? Oh, you must be talking about Ichiro, who is old and broken down and had an obp under .300 for a good chunk of the season in Seattle. Ladies and gentlemen, the embarrassment of riches is impossible to comprehend.
This is probably the worst season to make that kind of claim. Cashman made a slew of savvy moves this season, and this team had no business winning the most games in the AL and making it to the ALCS.
The team is pretty much THE model of excellence and consistency in professional sports. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th highest payrolls this year didn't even make the playoffs.
I thought you said the yankees fo was the best. I was a little when I read all the bs going on in here.
for my money its St Louis.
for the record Cashman isnt the prblem...he is a baseball guy
