DC doesn't really need a bunch of movies to introduce their characters. Batman has had 8 feature films and four animated series in the last 30 years, The Flash has had two live action in series in the last 25 years and appeared in a animated series, and Wonder Woman is known due to her 70's series and being in the Superfriends cartoon and Justice League cartoon.
DC has the advantage over Marvel because most of their characters have had a constant mainstream presence for over 50 years.

They had zero plans or wants to do this. Batman begins and the whole series was standalone. Man of steel was stand alone. They were mid writing mos 2 when someone suggested a batman cameo. They then said well why don't we make it a whole movie and scrap 2? Then they later said well let's just throw more people in and lead this to justice league
They didn't even plan this out themselves. At the same time marvel was revealing plans till 2020 and shyt, dc execs were in the press saying they had no plans to do a shared uni. Then just came around to fukk it, let's do it. Too much money not to
So forgive those who are a little skeptical of the no plan plan
