That's what a strong-willed, disciplinarian coach should be able to do. I believe Stafford can be fantastic with the right coaching staff around him.

Mark Richt should have been doing the teaching that Stafford needs at Georgia. People fall in love with his arm. He locks into Calvin too much, doesn't see the field and has poor mechanics. That isn't changing breh. It is what it is. Roar Digest is finally seeing the light. It ain't just the HC that needs to go.

You guys might be right. I'd just like to see Stafford have one season with a quality coaching staff.

He also took Alex Smith to the NFC title game. He could do more with Stafford.

It's about all the player. Alex Smith's greatest strength? He understands his weaknesses. Matthew Stafford does not. If he did, he himself would have worked that sidearm out of his system. Not just that, it's his mentality. This was from 11/26

Running back Reggie Bush reacted to the second straight loss on Sunday by suggesting that the team needed to hold a players-only meeting. Bush said that players needed to “really dig deep inside and find out what we’re made of” with five games left to play this season.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford doesn’t think the Lions need to hold any meetings, however. He said the team’s veteran leaders had to be sure that younger players weren’t overreacting to the losses, but that things have not become such a crisis :mindblown:
