Any advice for a sinny fat breh to get started?

I got that 2008 Guwop physique.

Im 40+, 6'4 240 lbs with a potgut.

Seditary lifestyle.

Want to lose the gut, firm up then gain muscle mass.

I got a stationary bike.

I use the lose it app..

My daily calories count is set for 2100...

So my breakfast count don't be bad cause I have a scrambled egg which is like 80 calories and 3 strips of bacon which is 20 calories each since its Turkey bacon..

But it's hard to find what to eat throughout the day outside of vegetables or fruit..

One chicken thigh is like 280 and man 1 large fry from McDonald's is like 500 calories..

Follow the calorie limit the app gives you, enter everything you eat or drink each day into the app before you consume it. And do crunches or sit-ups if you can.

This thread is the truth! Been calorie counting lately, you really do limit what you eat once you see how many calories are in a meal.

For instance, KFC meal: Colonels Crispy Chicken sandwich with wedges and fries: 1,000 calories! :damn:

McDonald's new Bacon Smokehouse single, just the sandwich is 800 calories!

Biggest factors: cut out pop, limit beer, and drink plenty of water.

I cut all that shyt out and stepped up the weights and cardio. What a difference.

The liquid calories reveal is a game changer. I was drinking the equivalent of what I was eating and more. I mostly drink water nowadays and will drink diet (50 calories) fruit juice only when I take my protein shake every 2 days.

If I can't count the calories or the app cant do it, I won't eat it. I haven't logged in in the last 4 days cuz the shyt I've been eating is embarrassing and hard to track plus its been nearly a week since i hit the weights:francis:. I can feel that shyt too:hhh:. There's gonna be a large gap in my progress.

I don't count calories, be simple cut all sugar products, legumes and grains you'll lose weight

Times your weight by 15. That’ll be your daily caloric intake to maintain your current weight. Subtract 300-500 from that for your caloric intake to cut weight. Weigh yourself every 2-3 months to check your progress and adjust your caloric intake. Just keep doing that until you reach your goal.

Just make sure you don't drop weight too fast because you'll end up with loose skin. A good macro % is 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat.

You might want to start drinking water with your protein shake instead of the diet juice bruh. Or just use a few strawberries.

I’m cool with all this meat (:dame:) and man food (mines is mostly turkey based too) but I can’t help but look at the cholesterol like:picard:

It is that simple breh. Calories in vs calories out. If you need 2500 cals to maintain your weight. If you eat 2000 cals you will lose a pound a week. Doesn’t matter if you eat 2000 cals of nothing but twinkies.

Now Atkins may make it EASIER to maintain a caloric deficit if you can stick to it, but overall most important factor in regards to weight loss is the caloric deficit.


I think exercise also plays a factor
I remember being real obese and weighing 305 pounds at 5’11.
I started following a diet of eating 600 calories daily :snoop:and in two weeks I actually gained a pound, I was feeling bloated and blood pressure rose
Once I started doing hiit my blood pressure dropped at a alarming rate and I stopped feeling bloated immediately and started losing weight.
