It’s true and that’s why they need to shut the fukk up with their hatin. TV deal is up next year and after the ratings this upcoming season they will easily be able to get more with that CC stimulus

They just need to hold for the new TV deal. She's gonna make way more in sponsorships.

MAKING A BIG DEAL OVER IT
AND THE RESPONSE IS 90% NEGATIVE.

It was an issue when Griner was in the gulag.. they said part of the reason she was over playing in Russia in the off season because she was making more than in the wnba

Shoulda took that Ice Cube money :mjlol:

Seriously tho 76k is low AF for a professional athlete. Can you even maintain peak physical performance with that amount of money?

She’s fine, i’m sure she will make lots through endorsements, but this means lots of them women living in poverty just to play basketball

76K for not even a full year's work isn't poverty

Folks need to buy merchandise, go to the games and watch the games

:manny:
They’ll be fine. People forget how young the WNBA actually is, and also how it really wasn’t that long ago where the NBA itself was an afterthought. Caitlyn is gonna be one of the building blocks of making the league big in the future, like Dr J or Bird/Magic did for the men.

Yep, folks only see the end product, and miss a lot of the building in between. A lot of people would be surprised to find out players used to fly commercial.

Ain't no different than what Magic, Bird and Jordan had to deal with in the NBA 40-45 years ago.

It took those guys growing the game...putting it on the map and making it global. Which is why the league was able to explode in revenue.

Those guys never got compensated fairly for what they brought to the game. But what Pioneer is ever given their just due?

Caitlin has a chance to become a global phenom....she won't get that back in WNBA money but 25 years from now maybe these chicks can see a million dollar contract because of what she did for the game.

Bird, Magic and Jordan couldn't eat but because of their efforts you got bums like Tobias Harris today making a cool 250+ milly in lifetime earnings.
She'll get the endorsements. She's already getting millions right now

76k a year in America ain't much tho for a college Grad who's elite in her field. Then again, she's making millions off endorsements
