These young top picks are making little to no impact in the win column. Wemby & Spurs are 3-13. Cade Cunningham & Pistons are 2-14. I’m sure people will make excuses and say they need help. LeBron helped turn around an abysmal Cavs from 17-65 to 33-49 his rookie season. You don’t have to get a team to the Finals right off the bat but man these teams are no better :dahell:
Lebron wasn’t no ordinary rookie.

Why y’all blaming these young kids? They made Monty the highest paid coach of all time. He’s failing these kids. What reason was there to bury Ivey on the bench?

Just because Detroit was dumb enough to give him the largest contract ever doesn’t take away from the fact that the #1 pick has failed to make any impact.

My Pops Forever RIP
15-67 to 33-49 his rookie season. That is great improvement.

Spurs were 22-60 last season. Trending towards 22-60 this season. How is Wemby not able to make any impact? He’s the next great thing?
context.

Cavs had young guys but they also had older vets as well in a still weak ass Eastern Conference. The Spurs have 1 guy over the age of 30 and 4 players with 5+ years of experience in the West. I guess the only real criticism is that they're lagging behind other teams in a similar situation to them (Houston). Wemby can still do his thing while the team around him is ill-equipped to compete. This year they're just tryna figure out who could conceivably stick around alongside Wemby. Next summer and the summer after is when they try to put pieces together.

No excuses. They suck just as bad this season with Wemby as they did last season without him :mjtf:
