That's 2001 - 2004, years that also included many great features. Mac Dre is the truth. I'm sick of clowns like you stuck in your ways because you don't know no better. Recognize or live in the dark and be ignorant

Let's start on the other side of his catalog.

mac-dre-young-black-brotha.jpg

5/5 - an absolute gem, from front to back. 21 tracks released in the same November as Snoop's Doggystyle, which also had about 20 tracks. I dare you, do the Pepsi challenge

put up Doggystyle to Young Black Brotha side by side and listen to them both. Do it and I bet it will make your day

She writes her own raps.. that was never a question

there was some controversary about her taking production credit and not giving credit to dudes helping write the R&B songs

no,..my nikka..
there is controversy on her, writing her rhymes, too.
then,..again,....
every female emcee, not named bahamadia.
damn near, used a gw, or faked the funk writing.
as that is the female rap game and it has no cultural rules like male emcee'n.
if it did,.....imo,..bahamadia is the actual all time best female emcee, turned rapper.

Damn....so what the fukk was Busta thinking when he had that nikka on the bench?

he was not nice, then.

plus,..busta lost the most talented newcomer in rap history.
so,..roc being lost to the fray, was not the biggest lost, ever.

Should add I believe - TRULY - that if you can make a top 10 or top 20 list I do not trust your opinions or appreciation of hip hop as a legit art form. It's fukking art, fam... there are no top anythings. This isn't a fukking track meet with quantifiable statistics. I can't imagine declaring Jay top 5 while shorting KRS... or Sayin Ghost is the man while ignoring Kool Keith... or propping up average M.C.s like Guru and Cl Smooth because they were fortunate enough to team up with beast producers while penalizing.. shyt, even nikkas like A-Butta.

nikkas like Mega and Roc Marci already got better output than a lot of "legends" but sad ass old nostaljacks too stubborn and uninformed to know as much.

the reason why I don't rank over the top five.. is,...
the actual skill sets and content of the emcee's, in the real top five.
really were never trumped, and it is more influenced from a sales based seedings or change of cultural sentiment or thought.
that kept emcees, who were no longer a draw.
from being relevant, or made them fall off.
or they excelled at an age,..that took anyone else three to ten years age wise to be the equivalent.

in the case of mega, or roc...

both have age,..to kill their argument from the beginning.

on top of,.......
mega,..can't be credited over anyone.
he was to off beat and technically inferior as a spitter for to long.
if I rank mega high...I have to rank sole, alternatively high as well.

I won't do either,......
when it comes to roc marc,...I would rank him high,..
yet, if I rank him rank..
I would have to rank jamal really high, too.

when both really did not from start to finish skill wise.
had to ramp up, from youth or admin issues, or both.
also,...you know, I know all about people being or never getting any recognition.

so, I have had to be objective about this,..for my own well being......

as real talk,...
me and juice are slighted, so much..
it is ridiculous.........

just nikkaz, trying to drop with no paper, or write in their head or any of that shyt.
all became an actual draw from ju, going off top.
while others tried to find an alternative, to actually really freestyling off the head.
after the ju vs the entire westcoast wakeup show freestyle, and other predating it.

even before that,..ju was making rounds and never propped.
when he actually had the number charting bds college radio record, and actual number one record, too.

with that being said...no pun? you excluded him based on his catalog
Only thing that really impressed me about Pun was his breath control and he lost that by the time he dropped his 2nd album...u could hear him struggling to breath

Big Pun never did nothing groundbreaking... Maybe broke the ground literally when he walked

Lol nah seriously tho I would put Pharoahe Monch on the list before Pun. Monch was more versatile wit his flow and just as good lyrically
