I stand by each of those artists inclusions on this list,

Let's start with Busta Rhymes, he's displayed talent and an ability to adapt to the mainstream over the long course of his career. I wouldn't call any of his albums classic but longevity is nothing to dismiss

Eminem of sheer impact, he's approaching top 10. He's release monumental music that will stand the test of time, once again it may not be a full album but having multiple inclusions in a top 500 greatests songs list of all-time is a higher accolade than what most of the people in the top 10 have accomplished

Mac Dre, this tells me you suffer from a perspective that may be diluted by indifference or standard status quo

Mac Dre is arguably one of the greatest artist of all-time in all of music . . now we're talking a catalog that not only includes VOLUME, but CONSISTENCY. We're talking a style that is unique and an artist that has adapted to multiple eras, even at times reinventing himself (ala Snoop Dogg, Madonna). He spearheaded his own business and movement. He is one of the greatest artists of all-time

busta rhymes been out for 20+ years almost and he is stuck on a shelve on ymcmb, u think that irrelavent nikka is gonna have a album on there? he hasn't had a relavent album in oover a decade now, ill put twista over him in that category.

This is irreverent garbage, like I'm going to rearrange the criteria for greatness based on those who are are are admittedly not familiar with his work? If you're not familiar with the work of a legend it just means you have a limited scope of expertise and thus you lack the credentials to even be discussing the topic. If those people have anything to say I would question why they are talking as they clearly have nothing of value to share on the subject at hand.


Eminem is one of the top selling hip-hop artists ever, only rivaled by Tupac Shakur in that category. His music has made impact which transcends hip-hop, he has songs that will go down as timeless, greatest song of all-time contenders. Your musical perspective is beginning to look dim
