Uncertain grounds
Incentivized nannisism. Sponsor grounded programs that are proven to work and incentivize families / individuals who fit the mass shooter profile to use them. Some programs mandatory given specific case criteria with consequences in the event Jr turns into a freak. There's a thin line and sadly Americans other social issues make addressing this one difficult and complex like you said.

The gov bans guns then has to fight citizens on top of trying to combat a rising 3d printer market. Guns are the culture here. It's not changing so finding more innovative/scientific ways for these atheists to get the help they need will be important.

In my opinion.

I decided to make a related thread in HL regarding our back and forth to perhaps spur some constructive dialogue that as many sides of this equation can agree upon as possible. It's clear that something has to be done, it's a matter of finding common ground

The answer isn't to let these things continue and ban guns. The answer is to address these issues with more outreach programs and maybe even mandatory parenting programs for people under the age of 25.

Good luck telling attempting to tell white people how to raise their kids. On one side you have 'parents' that want their kid to be free to do and say what they want without repercussion, just don't teach them crt and expose them to how evil their heritage is, on the other side you have 'parents' who don't care what kind of clothing and hairstyle and bathroom their kid uses and we should all cater to their child.

Politicians need to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less comfortable sitting in office only to line their pockets. They serve us and they need to be reminded of that

What's this I'm hearing about officers engaged but couldn't stop him? Any validity to that? Cause if my child was in that shooting, and police had engaged but failed to stop a 18 year old. I'd have BIG BEEF with the police.

I'd be sick with grief and seek vengeance on those cowardly officers.
Nothing short of grenades and c4's were stopping that weirdo...police might as well had knives on them

What's the tipping point tho?

Almost 600 people got shot at a country music concert...if that won't do it then this our reality for the foreseeable future...the politics just are what they are at this point in the country....this issue might not change in our lifetimes...guns are as American as Mickey D's and Walmart ...they are not going anywhere....anytime....we got to figure out how lessen the death toll....unfortunately

First you claimed atheism, abusive families, neglect, and bullying were the problem.

Now you're claiming diversity, um...lack of socialism I guess, and some sort of vague allusion to "history" are the problem.

Strange how the UK is atheist, diverse, and non-socialist with a ton of abuse, bullying and parental neglect....still doesn't have mass shootings. I wonder....maybe it's the guns?

It really sounds like you don't know what the fukk you're talking about and are just lobbing handfuls of right-wing shyt against the wall and watching them slide off, leaving nothing behind except an ugly slug trail.

It's really past time that you realized you don't have the answers, have never done the slightest work to try to get the answers, and actually need to learn something rather than just automatically applying your right-wing catchphrases to everything. I don't know why every dumbass who has never studied an issue in the slightest and doesn't have a single point of expertise thinks that he has all the answers and doesn't have anything to learn.

We’re (UK) a church state, so I wouldn’t say atheist. But I’m sure if you do a survey, most people are agnostic or atheist.

Anyways you’re right. We had two mass shootings in 1987 and 1996 which turned the tide on gun ownership:

Guns of all types were banned from private ownership from then: Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997 - Wikipedia

It’s time for a strong lobbiest group to ban guns in the US:

This is one of the main reasons I laugh when idiotic US posters say I wanna be American or I’m desperate to live there lol. Nah.

America is not a civilised country.

You cannot let all these kids be killed and sit there and say “WE NEED MORE GUNS!”
