Breaking Bad doesn't deserve to sit at the table with The Sopranos and The Wire

Yeah bruh, im at the last ep of season 5 and this shyt moved up a lot to me for this season alone. So much fukkery and I aint even eatched the finale yet, I suspect ultimate fukkery since Mackie smashed the ex wifey . Him calling Sticky Fingas "MC has been", Forest going to his crib to see his wifey after finding out his wife smashed the homie im sure the fukkery levels of these last 2 seasons bout to be good.

I was with you until you placed Boardwalk empire up there with the Sopranos and the Wire....

Boardwalk is not even on the same level as Breaking Bad which I argue is one of the best written shows in tv history...

Breaking Bad is still one of the greatest ever, but its not touching tv perfection like Sopranos, Wire, and X-Files

Boardwalk Empire is one of the most disappointing shows of all time for me. I couldn't believe it didn't grab me

after watchin the Wire this fall, from start to finish....

I put it below Breaking bad...one of the main reasons why, is because to me, Breaking Bad never had a down season, where 2 out of 5 seasons of the Wire were below average IMO.(2 and 5 were borderline unwatchable at points) If it wasnt for Omar carrying the Wire in season 5,(as he did as Chaulky White in BE) I may not have finished it, other than to see how they actually ended it. I never finished the Sopranos either.

Breaking bad suffered from being on regular cable and not pay cable. I can't quite explain it but it felt sanitized at certain points. No nudity, no cursing etc. took away from the realism of the show.

Plus fukking AMC commercials ruined the flow of the show for me.

West Wing doesn't get enough props on this board but it's another show where it's not as consistent as the others. The first four seasons that Sorkin wrote are damn near perfect. After that, season 5 is clearly a transitional season and everyone is trying to find their footing and it's kinda wack. 6 and 7 are very good though with the election

season 6 is a bit weird no doubt. the camp david peace talks are irritating and CJ as chief of staff was odd at the time, but the 2nd half of the season is pretty strong. without question, west wing is the GOAT tv show imo

It's definitely on my list if just for the first four seasons alone. That is incredible writing, incredible acting, and just incredible entertainment
