I haven't, so I don't really have a frame of reference for his writing style. I'm about 10% into The Bone Clocks though and I'm enjoying it so far.

Cool, let me know what you think when you're done. If you like it you should check out Cloud Atlas, it's widely considered his masterpiece.

I know the Kindle is the best. I'm asking about the iPad because if I were to get anything right now, I'd rather get something that could do it all (I need something "more convenient" than a laptop since I'm always traveling and shyt. I don't want to always have to open my my laptop to browse the web.) If the iPad w/ retina display could be used adequately as an eBook reader, it would be a definite cop right now.
I've heard the iPad is a little awkward to use? I use my shytty blackberry playbook and it's fine, don't need a kindle.

Will do. Cloud Atlas has actually been on my list of books to read for a while now.

I never finished this :to:↑↑↑

But, I'm reading this:

Dawg, this thing has opened my eyes in the origins of Hip-Hop culture. It got me wanting to listen to disco. I didn't understand how we got from that to Rap.

It's a huge book and I'm only in the beginning.

And I'm almost done with reading this, for a second time:

This book is great. If men and women could get on this; the marriage rate would be in the 90%.

This sucks the "Get Married, brehs" right out me.

I read that a while back. what's your love language?

:mjpls: Well, that's the thing...

:mjcry: I don't know...

I've never been one for gifts and never had a woman do "acts of service," really.

Words of Affirmation don't do as much for me as a lack of (for the lack of a better word) complaints. I.e., if I'm doin' good, I don't need a pat on the back, just don't act like I don't do anything. Physical touch is interesting. I mean, we all like it :shaq:. But, I'm so emotionally unavailable...:sadcam:.

Really, the most I got out of the book is; communication is king/queen. I may need a year and another read to figure it out. I prolly need to connect with a woman u get the book, maybe she can help me.

Quality time is an interesting one. But, I've grown disinterested is modern courting. And I have an old school view of things. I don't know, I'll figure it out...

Finished these two within the last few weeks. The story lines were kind of predictable, but entertaining nonetheless. Now I gotta wait for the 3rd book of the saga.

I'm onto this now. Hope it lives up to your review.

Just finished Brilliance. I'll order book 2 soon.

The Magicians by lev grossman. i'm kind of a slow reader but i finished it in 2 sittings. really good
I stopped reading halfway through. I'm just not invested in the characters right now. I was on the part where they discovered their disciplines. I guess I'll finish

I picked up 2 "classics", so I'll be into them first
Murder on the Orient Express

I'm binge-reading Malazan Books of the Fallen :ohlawd: I'm at the sixth book The Bonecasters, anybody liking fantasy should not sleep on this, there are so many books I might still be working through them when GRRM finally releases the Winds of Winter
You should read The King Killer Chronicles if you like ASOIAF
