This topic is near and dear to me. My dad died in his 40s from health issues related to his high blood pressure. Which I now totally believe was brought on by undiagnosed sleep apnea (he used to SNORE snore). Diet is important but I also urge anyone who has borderline/high BP to request a sleep study to be sure it’s not due to harmful sleep patterns. This is just general advice not directed at anyone in particular. Also full disclosure, I’m not a doctor. Stay healthy everyone.

Thanks Fam for keeping me accountable. I finally got myself down to a decent B/P with the help of some meds, exercises, and juice.
when I first saw this post. my shyt was in the stage 3 area like 160/129. I linked up with Doc who gave me the following amlodipine Besylate and hydrochlorothiazide...
I do calisthenics for 30 min and run for 30 min
I drop fried food and high sodium instantly.
What surprised me the most is how beet juice drop my shyt and the relief of the physical effect on high bp
as I type this my bp is 123/87

I'm not even going to post my shyt :hubie::sadcam:. Doc's been trying to get it down for a couple of years now. I'm on four different meds now, and they increased the dosage on two of them. It's gone down some, but not by much. I've been referred to a cardiologist. Had a treadmill stress test and a nuclear stress test done. The nuclear one revealed that the lower part of my heart isn't getting enough blood, which may explain the high BP. That was enough for them to request a Cat Scan to really see what's going on. I'm getting that done tomorrow morning. I'm nervous as hell :sadcam:

Sounds like they might have to give you a stent in if it’s blocked. Don’t feel bad breh, at least you are getting help where it’s needed.

One weird thing is whenever I go to the doctor's office, when they take the bp the first time its like mid to high 120s/80. But then when the actual doctor takes it, its in the 110s/79 or 80.

I'm 6'0, 195 lbs. I workout and my diet is probably mixed. i could definitely eat more vegetables and eat less food from outside.
