Nah. Folks ain’t hating on NY. NYC the biggest city in the country, y’all are basically America’s capitol in the worlds eyes. I respect y’all, but at the same time don’t act like you bout to talk slick about another persons neck of the woods cuz we proud of our shyt the same way y’all proud of y’all shyt.
I'm just trolling bruh :mjlol: I got love for other coasts/regions :yeshrug:.

NYC nikkas are corny as hell, nowadays. Y'll be thinking ya'll trendsetters but that hasn't been true for the past decade or so. Atlanta BEEN took that crown from you. :manny: The culture ain't been centralized in NYC in literally YEARS. Even LA been more influential over the past few years. NYC is important of course...but its also got a bajilion people. If you WEREN'T influential it would be a waste of a city. The Midwest and Atlanta have contributed WAY beyond their number in population.

Midwest cats are on a whole much more welcoming and open that coastal nikkas. Mostly because of the southern roots I'd say...we are a lot closer and more in touch with our folks in the south.
In Detroit, we don't even fukk with outsiders like that. 9/10 if you got into some shyt in Detroit you were close too it. There very little degrees of separation in our violence here...much more personal than say Chicago.

Only really Cincinnati and Chicago nikkas sound "country". Detroit, Northern Ohio, Twin Cities, Pittsburgh, etc they all have really flat nasally kinda accents.

I’d say STL nikkas sound country too. Other than that, most Midwest nikkas sound either nasally flat or similar to West Coast/Bay Area nikkas.

The people I know from STL sound super country and they never get rid of their accents - no matter if they move or what profession they're in
Yep my sis stay in STL, them nikkas down there got the most unique accents

It’s southern but also very midwestern at the same time. I consider STL to be a southern city :yeshrug:

What has LA, Midwest and ATL contributed more of?

ATL is not a trendsetting city.

And you’re from Detroit a place that is arguably by far more “corny” than NYC.

For a city that is in rubbles practically contributing nothing I’d like to think the word “corny” wouldn’t even come out of your mouth.

Until I see black fashion entrepreneurs and name brand clothes pop up first in ATL they will ever take the crown from nobody. NYC nikkas and up north dudes are the flyest people in their own city.

ATL artist still gotta come up to NYC to get signed to major label.

And when it comes to money most of the top earners in hip hop are New Yorkers.

Jay Z alone is more influential than any sperm cell that originated from ATL, Midwest and LA combined!

:umad::umad::umad::umad::umad:

ATL ain't a trendsetting city and yet half of NYC rap is piggy-backing off ATL styles/flows/tropes.

Trap/Drill is an ATL/Midwest invention and its literally the dominant sound of hip-hop for the past decade. Stop listening to them ole throwback 90's and 2000's stations when you driving Lyft and you would know that.

@Black Magisterialness you’re from Syria Detroit.

You don’t get to speak on corny especially when the most contributing person from your city is a lame trailer park trash Cac.

Go do some community service and bulldoze an empty house cornball.

We made the car you use to live, you dolt. All that money in NYC and you ain't seeing none of it :russ:

"Aww Detroit ain't got no houses".

Well NYC got plenty and none your broke ass can afford...whats your excuse? :sas2:

Jay Z more influential than these Midwestern folks...?

-Michael Jackson: Gary, IN (Detroit by proxy)
-Eminem: Detroit
-Numerous Motown artists that I can list: Detroit
-Prince: Minneapolis
-Kanye West: Chicago
-Henry Ford: Detroit
-I can go on.

All of those people mentioned above are known and loved around the planet. People who don’t even know an ounce of English can tell you who those people are. Can’t say the same for Jay Z.

Y’all NY nikkas be killing me. Ole Mims “This is Why I’m Hot” corny ass nikkas. I’ve been to NY a few times and it’s not even a top five city I’ve visited. Mexico City is just as big (bigger/larger I believe) and it’s shytting on NY. The only reason why NY has any type of influence in society, is because of Wallstreet. If Wallstreet was transported to buttfukk Wyoming, I’m pretty sure that Wyoming would have a little influence, too.

NYC is the most popular city and attractive city in the world so you saying NYC isn’t the top five city you’ve visited does nothing for me. YAWN!

The Jay Z comment was more hip hop related and I’m sure you knew that but felt the need to go off topic lol.

Funny thing is all the artist you name would rather perform their shows at the Apollo in Harlem than any other “theatre” in the Midwest

Y’all need to stop bringing up NYC in threads that has nothing to do with it. Cause one person brings it up and then you got all these inferiority complex’s nikkas from other cities storming in with all the

Every region has their good and bad, there’s no reason to compare and contrast NYC with other cities all the time.
