Let me show you why it's even more imperative to stay OUT of jail......

AMENDMENT XIII
SECTION 1.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

SECTION 2.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Slaves are in jail, not walking around free.

What's the point? They still killing us dead in the street. And you got white jurors riding for the white defendant, because Zimmerman meant well.

Plus its Florida, if we forget our position, the white people will be quick to remind us.

Would you have refused to comply with the window request because of this? No one is denying the senseless violence and abuse of power undercut by racism in this country but part of growing up is knowing what battles to choose. Do you really think that this statement should give us black people a reason to make any interaction with police worse? Especially considering:

As a 24 year old black man, I'm not fighting the system by constantly blurting, "what law, what law" to a cop on the side of the road.

Just so we don't keep going in circles.

I never made it a racial issue, the cop actions were probably not racist. So, please miss me with all that.

She was well within her rights to have the window half way down.

Its the usual "fukk that bytch" circle jerk going on. But the fact still remains, it was a non-issue. Shiit like this happens all the time when cops fan a flame.

laugh all you want but i just hope you keep this post in mind in case you have to deal with cops one day. it might save your life. again, 95% of the times i think cops are abusive and should be checked for their behavior. I have many problems with police as an institution and with a lot of their practices. this is the other 5%. she was just wrong (and dumb)

You think I haven't dealt with cops because I don't share the same opinion.

You've got a lot to learn about people buddy

She didn't 'wise up' to the law, though. She was DEAD-ASS wrong from jump then started acting suspicious after he came back with the ticket. Acting suspicious @ a routine traffic stop gives the officer more than enough reason to act in the manner he did. By 'suspicious' I mean she was very cooperative at first, then, for some inexplicable reason, she decided it was a good idea to act like an imbecile. The officer had no idea why, thus, his 'fear' was justified.
Still, that does not have anything to do with the legality of her choosing to keep her window rolled up.

If he thinks there's something suspicious/in fear for his safety, then he should search the car as police would normally do when something is suspicious. That did not happen so again, I doubt he was "suspicious" or feared for his safety.

Y'all usin' that Zimmerman defense. Ole "just say you feel something even though the reality of the situation is much different". Right. No what really happened, is the dude was in the wrong and he got mad that she noticed it. He knew the law, which is why he never tried to arrest her on the ground of breaking that law.

If she would have gotten out of the car when he asked, this would be a non-issue/story and her charges would have later been dropped. You know why? Because she did nothing wrong. :ld:

Sorry to let you all know, but there's no crime against having an attitude or inconveniencing someone. She maybe be an annoying bytch,, but there's no law against that.

You still don't see the problem. SHE turned a 'non-issue' into an 'issue'. SHE stopped cooperating for NO reason. SHE made the officer suspicious. SHE 'fanned the flame'.

SHE caused the officer to react the way he did by HER actions.

We're calling her 'stupid' because instead of going on about her way with a $25 ticket (here in my state), she's in jail with a broken window + assaulting an officer/resisting arrest charges + refusal to show documentation/registration + has to get the vehicle out of impound all because of a brake light that SHE should have made sure worked before she got behind the wheel. SHE was wrong from all aspects and only made it worse for herself by acting like a youtube law-school student.

This whole thing was HER fault.

That isn't an issue. The issue is her refusal to abide a lawful order AFTER being informed she was detained AFTER numerous warnings from two police officers.

It is not ILLEGAL to have your window half way down. This will be the main issue that will be argued in court.

The only thing they are going to care about in court, "did the cop act within reason?" This will have to be answered in court. Because you better believe the actions of the police officer will be in question.

But most of the replies have been "fukk that bytch" and "black people act ignorant". So, its comedy for me to take any you guys seriously.

I don't trust the police, and this is another case of them acting a fool FOR NO GOOD REASON. The window was a non-issue. Dragged her through the street for that bullshiit? And you guys side with him? :smh:

You're moving goal psot.

First it was making her seem "suspicious" and making him "feel for his safety" and now it's not an issue?

Hey guys, a black person knowing the law is now suspicious and makes other people feel unsafe!

Be ignorant nikkas who don't know the law so everyone else around you can feel comfortable, brehs.

The issue is her refusal to abide a lawful order AFTER being informed she was detained AFTER numerous warnings from two police officers.

And no one denied that so what are you talking/arguing about? Like I said earlier, moving goal post, when you're wrong.

He was not suspicious of her. he did no fear for his safety. What he did have was a bruised ego, just as she did. Only her actions were backed up by law while he had to go out of the way to lie and say some false rhetoric on record just to find the legal ground to punish her for knowing and following the law.

Like I said, people (including other black people) do not like when we are knowledgeable enough to exercise our rights. This thread and responses proves such.
