Broad was being combative for no reason.

She's driving SOMEONE ELSE'S car with no producible registration or insurance papers indicating shes authorized to do so and STILL wants to act a fool :snoop:.

Try to stand your ground when you have no ground to stand on brehs.

Dumb-ass broad? Combative? Acting a fool?

She was annoyed. Arrest her for being annoyed, then. That's the cop's choice.

But don't act like the window being half-way down is an issue.

Just give her the ticket.

If she never rolled up her window what was he going to charge her with? Nothing. Notice he said detained, not you are under arrest, because she committed no crime.

Most likely all he was going to do is have the car towed.

All that other stuff you guys talking about is interesting chitter chatter.

Cop: The reason why I stopped you is because you have only one working brake light.
Girl: Awww, yeah. It's not my car. (Hands license to officer through FULLY OPENED WINDOW)
Cop: Umm, unfortunately, you're operating it, so....you know what I mean?
Girl: Yeah, yeah, I understand.
Cop: You have the registration?
Girl: No.
Cop: You don't have the registration?
Girl: No, it's my mother's car. I just dropped her off at work and I have an appointment....
Cop: Okay. So...
Girl: I don't have her registration
Cop: 'Kay, you don't know if it's in the glove-box where people keep it?
Girl: No
Cop: You wanna look? That's a $114 dollars right there for not having it.
Girl: (Says something unintelligible)
Cop: You're not the registered owner of the vehicle?
Girl: No, this is my mother's car so, I just dropped her off to get to my appointment...
Cop: Okay, so you don't wanna look for the registration?
Girl: There's no way I can get in-touch with her, she's at work. She works at a call-center....
Cop: I know, but most people keep it in the glove box. That's why I'm asking...
Girl: (Reaches to glove box, but doesn't open it)
Girl: So that's why you pulled me over, because of a light?
Cop: You only have one brake light, yeah.
Girl: Can I go get that fixed?
Cop: And when you changed lanes coming up to the light, you didn't signal, but that's probably a result of you not having your light working back there. 'Kay?
Girl: I can tell her about it. It's not my car.
Cop: Well, I mean, you are operating it so it's your responsibility right now.
Girl: (Looks stupefied through FULLY OPENED WINDOW)

So, basically, she had an inoperative brake/signal, did not properly signal to change lanes, did not produce registration on vehicle BEFORE he wrote her a ticket ONLY for the brake light.

He was trying to give her a break and she FUKKED UP by acting like a total @sshole when she was in the wrong from jump.

I'm done with this fukking thread. Y'all keep trying to :cape: for this dumb-ass broad.

Yo this bytch stupid as fukk, I only feel sorry for her because she might be mentally challenged.

The most dangerous part of an officer's job is performing a traffic stop. You don't fukk around or make assumptions with anyone you pull over.

It's one thing if she doesn't consent to a search, but if you do anything to make an officer feel uncomfortable because you may be concealing a weapon used to harm him/her and then they give you a lawful order so they feel comfortable, that's probably the dumbest thing you can do.

Exactly. That's the part that has me stuck on :dahell:. I mean she literally was asking for it by fiddling around in her waste with her phone. Come on breh. Most cops today approach the car with their hand already on their weapon. Then you rolling up your window on him :what:. She's lucky he was just a college pig. If it was OPD, it could've ended way worse. I couldn't tell exactly where she was at but I know she was in a relatively neutral area. Had she been pulled on Alafaya or Colonial by OPD they definitely approach vehicles with their hands ready and they definitely don't take as long as it did for a 2nd cop to show up. They were very gentle with her.

@Suicide King

Breh I was on campus back in the day when the off duty officer shot a student while tailgating. This was before Brighthouse Stadium moved on campus and was downtown. :old: I'm 100% familiar with where she's at and what type of persons she was dealing with.

:mindblown: What does that have to do with anything? She wasn't complying with his commands. You dudes are acting like he told her to spread eagle and show him her birth canal. Just fukking roll the window down. :heh: at you nyggas going into a court hearing and people seeing that tape. Everyone is going to be like :beli: really, ma? And then you didn't even produce registration? :camby:

You dudes keep on saying what you don't have to do. Lol You don't even have to pull over when you see those blue lights but guarantee you about to get that nightstick to the temple when they catch that ass. Roll your window down. Can't produce documents? Aight, call your moms(it was her mother's car) and get her on the phone and verify you good. Too fukking easy. Take your 75$ ticket and bounce. Now you got shattered glass all in your lap and face down in the pavement. :snoop:

Because his random commands aren't the law dumbass :beli:

I know that's hard for you to grasp but, try for me.

SHE. DIDN'T. HAVE. TO. ROLL. DOWN. HER. WINDOW. IF. SHE. DIDN'T. WANT. TO. The cop knew that but, he got angry with her and abused his authority to get revenge, which is how the altercation started. Cop slips the ticket through the window, there's no altercation. Everybody goes home. Cops are here to protect the law. That's their jobs. Their job isn't to bust people's head to the white meat because they got irritated and upset :camby:

I'm not really worried about cops killing us, it happens all the time. I wouldn't even waste any energy arguing about cops killing us or white citizens shooting unarmed teenagers. It feels normal. I wouldn't even sign a petition.

What I don't get, he made an issue out of the window. You can imagine a tense situation can be made worse or diffused.

He choose to prolong the situation, I feel uneasy and I worry how this cop's mind ticks. And all anyone can do is call this student a stupid bytch?

from what i understand. her light didn't work and didn't signal. she got stopped. asked for registration, doesn't have it. cop tries to give her a hint to maybe check in glove box cause that's a ticket normally. From the cop's point of view, car could be stolen. she's hesitant to look in the glove box after being given the hint twice. she even reaches for it and then hesitates. and that point, cop could be thinking there could be a gun inside (again, no registration, she said she can't reach the owner, won't check the glove compartment). Cop asks her to lower the window. she refuses.

so far the cop hasn't done anything illegal.

the cop then gives her a lawful command to roll it down for his personal safety (even if that's BS, it's still a command at that point. what she should have done is verbally refuse but physically comply). After that he tells her to get out of the vehicule and that she is being detained for not complying with a lawful command or whatever. She rolls up the window on his hand.

the cop still hasn't done anything illegal. meanwhile she is riding a car with tinted windows, can't produce the paperwork, refuses to check the glove box for the registration, playing with her cell behind the tinted window (probable cause for him to fear for his safety?), refuses to follow lawful commands, rolled window up on cop's hand (technically assault).

trust me, i'm one of the fight for your rights, know your rights type dudes but she was i the wrong on this one. fukked up thing is that the cop was actually trying hard to give her a break.

this incident isn't even a black/white thing.

How can the cop give you a lawful command to do something that you don't legally have to do?

It is the point.

Doesn't matter if we are smarter, they still killing us dead in the street and not serving us any justice in the courts.

I guarantee you next time you get pulled over, you won't roll your window down all the way out of habit.

I never roll my window down all the way, and I drive a F-150, and the cop just sticks the clip board through the window. Sometimes I want to grab the clip board and bring it inside, and he tells me he has to hold on to it. He's hands are always outside. That cop had nothing to worry about.

The cop was wrong. Every lawyer will tell you when you flex your rights, it won't make the cop like you. But it is still your God given right.

Exactly.

Where were all of you with this vitriol when the video of the white guy being asked to roll his window down and basically telling the cop to go fukk himself was making the rounds on here? :heh: Nothing is different in these incidents besides the complexion of the individuals involved, but often times that's all it takes to get some of you to lose your minds. This girl was too dark to pull it off, but legally, you don't have to roll your window all the way down. Could she have done so and avoided damaging this guys ego therefore saving herself the headache? Probably so, but she did nothing against the law before she refused to exit the vehicle after being informed she was being detained. The name calling and hate in here is hilariously ironic considering a lot of you probably :leon: 'd and :smugfavre: 'd when white daddy pulled the same stunt(that was well within his rights.)

Exactly.

I watched a video before where a white dude got out the car and got up in a cop's face :patrice:

Man, she could of pulled out a gun and shot the cop and some people would still defend her.. She didn't have any registration, she was in the wrong from that moment on.....its like that part flies over their head.

he made the window an issue because he felt his safety was in jeopardy as far as giving her the ticket because

1. tinted windows
2. hands not visible and seems to be holding something
3. Car not hers and can't produce registration, can't call owner and refuses to reach in glovebox eventhough she is told it's a ticket (gun? suspect behavior).

I don't know if there's something like probable cause that gives cops the right to ask you ask you to roll down the window for certain circumstances to be honest. but if she felt that strongly about it, she should have fought it in court instead. but to be frank, i don't even think she would have won after seeing the whole vid (although i don't know the specific law). I could understand why cop felt his safety was at risk.
