Police officers are authorized to give lawful orders, the keyword is lawful.

"Mam, for my safety and yours, would you mind rolling the window down, please?" is a nice way of saying it.

If you're unsure if it's an order or not, you're obliged to ask, "Are you giving me a lawful order?"

If they say, "Yes, I am." you have to comply otherwise they can detain you for failure to comply with a lawful order.

Remember, if you're in clear violation of something and are obstructing an officer from doing his job like this cornball sister in the video, they can take a step further

But a lawful order doesn't mean a cop can violate your rights or allow him to do something grotesque or illegal

If the cop says, "Ok you fukking fakkit, I order you to get down on your knees, unzip your pants and let me fukk your rectum 'till it's drenched in my cum and blood."

You don't have to comply because it's not a lawful order.

but even if he caught feelings a little bit, if he also partially feared for his safety, i think she forced his hand. only other option would have been to tell her her car would be towed because she can't produce registration (again not sure if they can do that) but even then she would have refused to step out of the car and you'd have gotten the same chain of events afterwards. I guess this would have been the better option because maybe then she would have realized she has to step out of the car.

At this point, I just hope the charges gets dropped. But its Florida, so she is going to do time.

But what do I care, I have no real power and everyone in here is calling her a bytch.

Dude was just trying to impose his authority on some skinny little girl...All that show of violence was unnecessary...

Cop should have gone to the car, and told the girl, "I pulled you over because you ran a red light (or whatever traffic law she broke). I will write you a ticket. Roll down your window, so I can hand you the ticket."

If she had resisted after that, then she is obviously retarded or hiding something, and she deserves whatever comes to her...

But no, dude had to be a bully and duck her questions...All she wanted to know was why she was pulled over...

If your grandma was in a nursing home, and some nurse shoved some medication into her mouth just because she was asking "what are these pills you are giving me, and why should I take them?" How would you feel?

To me it's similar situation...

Cops need to improve their social communication skills..You are not a p+ssy for telling people exactly why you are detaining them, even if they are too ignorant to realise what they did...

With all the power they have, it's a small thing to ask of them, to be the ones with cooler heads in confrontational situations...

Cops want to violate you as soon as you confront them...

The solution isn't fighting cops and getting our asses thrown in prison cause that's happening anyway to nikkas who ain't even done shyt to deserve it. Yeah we should fight the system, but this is not the way to do it. We gotta get more of our people in positions of the government and wealth

I'm not really worried about cops killing us, it happens all the time. I wouldn't even waste any energy arguing about cops killing us or white citizens shooting unarmed teenagers. It feels normal. I wouldn't even sign a petition.

What I don't get, he made an issue out of the window. You can imagine a tense situation can be made worse or diffused.

He choose to prolong the situation, I feel uneasy and I worry how this cop's mind ticks. And all anyone can do is call this student a stupid bytch?
