2012 teams defense way overrated, they couldn't stop that Tunisian Center who got his sneakers signed by Kobe.

2012 team = better athletes, scorers and shooters. i also think they are the better TEAM. like all the teams after the first dream team until 08 that they said were basically all star teams, not real teams. the dream team is like that as well its just masked by the fact that their competition was so bad, they appeared to be the greatest team assembled. if they had to play against a real TEAM i think they would have struggled.

i cant believe how you people are underrated the scoring prowess of players, like lebron, melo, KD, and kobe. these are some of the greatest scorers the game has seen and close outs dont mean sh!t to them. they are amazing not just because of their numbers, but because they can ALL score slashing, shooting from deep, or down on the block.

there is no way in hell the dream team would stop them from getting good looks

All it would take is one of those blackout shooting nights from the 2012 team, the centers are the huge advantage for the 92 team, but when this current teams gets hot there's absolutely nothing you can do.

What's the likelyhood of this team getting that hot against the '92 team though? Id say that it wouldn't be likely at all. They got a lot of those open looks because they got constant stops and turnovers. They were also able to get away with playing small ball which allowed them to push the tempo against teams that were clearly at a disadvantage athletically. I don't think that any of that would e the case against the Dream Team. Those guys wouldn't be overwhelmed by the defensive pressure. Those guys could control tempo by executing. So there are things that could be done to slow a hot outside shooting team down. It's a lot more complicated than saying "well, if this 2012 team got hot like they did against Nigeria then there's nothing the '92 team could do".

screw all this analytical babble that's been going on for pages about who does what.

all I know is, in the prime of his career, with a good surrounding cast, I'm betting everything I have on Michael Jordan to come up with a win.

everything else is highly situational but there's no way Jordan doesn't rise to the occassion.

this is basketball, anybody can beat anybody and anybody can get hot. but we know who was the biggest competitor in the game.​
