Why is this even a discussion. 2012 team is not going to be jacking up uncontested threes against the 1992 team because the 1992 team is NOT going to be in some stupid zone. Also, the 1992 team has the speed and length to close out on 3 point shooters. Also, the 1992 team could overplay the three point shooter BECAUSE they have adequate shot blocking.

There is no sensible scenario where 2012 beats 1992. This expectation that 2012 would get hot from three is laughable. They would barely get open threes. If they resorted to shooting contested threes their % would be AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

The only guys on that team that could close out like that was Michael and Scottie. They can't stop everyone. One of them would be preoccupied trying to stop Lebron, so that means one of thsoe 2012 shooters would be open.

So if Lebron drives to the hoop, you think there won't be defenders trying to help the big man defending the hoop? Of course there will be, and Bron will kick it out to an open shooter.

These dudes are harping on what 12 did against bums like they'd be doing that against the Dream Team. These niccas' 3pt% drastically improved in international play, yet they're acting like it's some modus operandi. :mindblown:

first of all, youre acting like pau gasol isnt a hall of famer, and with more size and agility than the big men on dream team. For all their beasting in the paint, they were still outrebounded by the much smaller US team. All their size and they still could not control the pace, and neither would dream team IMO. Another thing, yall need to stop overrating MJ and pips D. Lebron would beast on pippen im sorry, and shut him down in the process because he never was a great scorer. People talkin about the 2012 team wouldnt get any open 3s because of them is laughable. The 2012 team would get whatever they wanted, just like they have against everyone else. There are to many people they would not be able to stay in front of, and they shoot the ball too well. They are going to give something up just like everyone else had to.

yall need to understand how different the game was then. there really isnt anymore throw it down to the post and let him slowly back someone down then hit em with a post move. soon as they put that ball down the trap is coming, and the dream team did not have the shooters the 2012 team does.

lets not even talk about a 2012 team at full strength with D howard down low.
