And those chances were frequent enough during these games to know that between Durant, Melo and CP3 that one of them would blackout, basically making the low post advantage the 92' team had pretty up equals.

I still haven't heard one reason why Durant, Melo etc. would get the same looks against the og Dream Team (the greatest defensive team of all time) that they did against Spain or Nigeria???

Olympics
Durant-52%
Melo-50%
Kobe-43%
Paul-46%

Melo shot 10-12 one game :lawd: and Durant was 8-10 in another. Those are once in a career type performances.

For their careers against NBA level talent
Durant-36%
Melo-32%
Kobe-33%
Paul--36%

The 2012 team was the greatest shooting team we've ever witnessed....yeah...I said it.
This is pretty reactionary don't you think? Mullin, Bird and Stockton shot better than any of the above over their careers.
:ohhh:

yall need to understand how different the game was then. there really isnt anymore throw it down to the post and let him slowly back someone down then hit em with a post move. soon as they put that ball down the trap is coming, and the dream team did not have the shooters the 2012 team does.

lets not even talk about a 2012 team at full strength with D howard down low.

Gasol was hitting them with it on Sunday

I got John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen at any time and I'm supposed to be worried about a Trap?

In order to play a Trap, you gotta score?

2012 teams defense way overrated, they couldn't stop that Tunisian Center who got his sneakers signed by Kobe.

Did you see there Pick and Roll Defense? They have none

man shut up

how do you defend against great 3 point shooters? tall perimeter defenders getting close to the shooters. Problem is the '12 team are taller and can get by guys off the dribble.

:what:

Durant is taller, that's about it.

:ohhh:

Bird was old by that time. Stockton was hurt. Mullin was really the only effective guy along those lines.

This was the greatest shooting team I ever saw in my life.

:russ:

They gave up nearly 60 points to Spain in a twenty minute half...regardless of how much y'allttry to overrate the shooting disparity, they wasn't stopping the dream team.
