Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Is that standard? So MJ was 6'6" w/o shoes?

It varies, there's no real standard set but the majority of players have their listed heights with shoes on. And they also round up, like Kevin Love is listed at 6"10 but he was 6"9 and change in shoes at the combine.

MJ was 6"4 and change without shoes.

I was talking about what he did facing jordan in the nba

How is that relevant to this discussion? We're not talking about the Chicago Bulls v. the 2012 team.

Besides I don't see any Melo v. Nigeria or Durant v. Argentina like explosions here...

I agree we just saw a historic shooting display from these guys. I just don't get the argument they're going to continue to shoot that way against the best defense they will ever face.

its not an "if"

they hit 16 three pointers a game during this tournament :wtf:

It is an if. The best three point shooters in the world don't go off every night. You are banking on them going off from three as if it's a given.. you are factoring in numbers against far inferior defenses.

A given is the 2012 team getting bodied on the inside.

You stick with your 25-footers and I'll take my chances in the paint.

A better discussion would be, which team would win, the 1992 Dream Team or the 1996 Olympic squad

25 footers? The reason they were making so many 3s is because the international 3 point line is essentially a long 2 pointer, which is what most of these guys shoot to begin with.

Yet again, Spain shot a better percentage and more freethrows than Team USA and still lost because they got hit for 45pts from 3.

good thing the USA had about 4 guys that showed they could go off at any given time. Did you actually watch them play in the olympics? :leostare:

Kobe, CP3, Melo, Durant, even DWill would go on a 3 point flurry and effectively end the game. This happened too much to make it like its an unusual occurrence.

This would be the game of the century

Or which team was better since there was 5 members of the original Dream Team that were on the 1996 team. IDK but I honestly see the 96 Dream Team feasting on the 92 squad. Hakeem and Shaq would take a shyt on the 92 front court and the perimeter players are as good as the 92 squad too imo

Mastermind on his "did you watch?" shyt again lmao. Never gets old.

If Gasol is an advantage against the current '12 bigs and Spain loses only by seven even with allowing 15 threes.. what do we call having Robinson, Ewing, Barkley and Malone on the inside and the '92 team having better perimeter defenders than Spain had for this tourney?

Think about replacing the Gasols with the '92 bigs and Rudy/Navarro with Pippen/Jordan.

then think about replacing Calderon/Rodriguez with Stockton/Magic.

You would agree that Spain is a tough match for the 2012 team, correct? They were a tough match in the '08 Gold Medal game as well.

So now replace all of Spain's best players with far superior players at each position.

Spain allows 15 threes in the gold medal game. Is the '92 Dream Team going to allow more than that? 20? And why should I believe that the '12 team is going to shoot better than 15-37 from three against a far superior defense on a given night? This tourney is such a small sample size. They are going to have games where they shoot 15-37 or worse against inferior defense. We saw it. They certainly could shoot better against the '92 team but that goes back to what I was saying. It's a bigger question mark than The Dream Team's advantage on the inside.

Why do people think the three pointers the 2012 team hit with frequency would suddenly stop?

That shyt happened way to frequently to say they'd have off games.

One or two of them would go on those three point barrages. That was the best shooting exhibition I've seen in my entire life.

I'd expect the original Dream Team to win 7 out of 10 times. But the versatility of Bron, Durant, and Melo make it impossible for me to count them out in a one-game situation. This is a younger, fresher team top to bottom too. Those PFs and Centers on the original team though... this year's team would have to hope for a shootout. 'Bron and Durant are scary as shyt though, I think people are underrating just how impossible to guard they'd be.

first of all, youre acting like pau gasol isnt a hall of famer, and with more size and agility than the big men on dream team. For all their beasting in the paint, they were still outrebounded by the much smaller US team. All their size and they still could not control the pace, and neither would dream team IMO. Another thing, yall need to stop overrating MJ and pips D. Lebron would beast on pippen im sorry, and shut him down in the process because he never was a great scorer. People talkin about the 2012 team wouldnt get any open 3s because of them is laughable. The 2012 team would get whatever they wanted, just like they have against everyone else. There are to many people they would not be able to stay in front of, and they shoot the ball too well. They are going to give something up just like everyone else had to.

:what:
The rest of that ain't even worth reading
