Yeah but it was the rate of death. People were still dying at high levels the second time catching Covid especially older people and people with pre existent conditions like Diabetes. Most people bodies didn’t make an immunity for Covid. Also what you’re saying is basically the idea behind the Covid vaccine. Now when you catch it, it affects you, but your not hearing about people dying from their lungs shutting down.

The whole thing wasn’t ideal, but it worked. The people still dying from Covid are the people who are unvaccinated.

Vaccines are one of the scientific marvels of the modern age and without it I think a lot of us would be dead before 50. The fact we are pardoning people for science is a mistake. Yeap! the COVID shot was to help prevent the worse symptoms from happening. The issue was that they literally were running out of beds and ventilators at the hospitals. Folks were dying in triage because they had nowhere to even put them for treatment. Not to mention others coming in for other issues. But the vaccine gave the hospitals more relief because it kept people at the house instead
