The extent of damage of these pardons can't be overestimated. Not only did it send unhinged violent criminals back into society, it also said to other would be brown shirts that if they do something in service of Trump, he's got their back. he can give unlimited pardons and of course the SC has given him immunity for anything they deem "official acts". Additionally, a number of theses lowlives will go on to join militias and such, streghthening their manpower. It completely obliterates any pretense of caring about law and order.
