It would do more damage making an impact at the local level. But I completely disagree with Bernie not "giving a fukk" about black people. A human who doesn't give a fukk about black people doesn't spend his youth protesting, organizing sit-ins and getting arrested trying to get black folks the rights they deserved.

It's all nice that Bernie participated in the Civil Rights movement, but his platform does not even look feasible. Nothing wrong with being a socialist but he'll bankrupt the country and it'll have even more negative consequences for black people and other minorities.

I saw a lot of this when black representatives came out in favor of Hillary being all like 'but but but he marched for black people'. It's like white folks who think they're your friend because they could've been racist but by their mercy they weren't.

Black folk don't really owe anyone anything. Hillary has name recognition and support with black people because of the image that was cultivated by Bill in the 90s. Those walls aren't so easily broken but they need to be. That "first black president" bullshyt will be a hard thing to get away from with people who only skim politics and have most of their information give to them by word of mouth and what's told to them in the news.

I mean, I get where you're coming from. But what the flying fukk has Hillary done to earn the support of black folks? Literally only name recognition. Neither her or bill ever helped the black community. And to be clear I'm not saying just vote for bernie because he cared and fought for civil rights, but that is the cloth he is cut from and many of his policies will benefit the black community greatly.
