I dont feel I did either. Ive justified it in my mind. Im sure Joe Jackson justified whoopin the black of michael and them's ass. I think many people completely miss the gray area if there is one and either slap them once and thats it (i.e. dont do an effective job) or completely over do it and what I would like to do is find a base to work from some what identify a standard.

like to me obviously 10 smacks on the face or across the head is overdoing it in any situation. Some people are ok with a belt, some people are completely against it. If using a belt is 5 lashes enough? 10? Hell should it vary by age and height/weight. if your kid is 12 and is 5'1 92lbs should you wear him out? if he is 12 and 5'6 1/2 and 145lb can you wear him out?

The more i look into it the more it seems helpless. I hate to tell people to just figure out on their own but theres a lot to look into and consider. I mean is 10 lashes from your 6'5 245lb dad the same as 10 lashes for your 73 year old 5'4 grandma? lots of things to consider.

Well, I know people that beat their kids and the kids still became fukk-ups in life. Or people that beat their kids, the kids grow up being well behaved, and not visiting their parents when they get old.


If you gotta discipline your kids, make sure you state the reason before doing so. If not, your kids gonna hate you when you get older and maybe abandon you when you become senior citizens.
