:what: now your splitting hairs. If that's the case GOTG was a flop to y'all.
Splitting hairs? We're talking about if WB made a large or small profit off the box office. It's a fact that the profit they made was small. They'll make it up in the home market.

Marvel really got people brainwashed damn, i dont remember the Batman Begins doin numbers or hell any other batman movied minus TDK & TDKR, so where's the ''batman is finished'' talk coming from :dahell:

you nikkas sheep for real... movie was a success and the DCEU is in full force..

ya'll can have your campy family movie, we finally have something to differentiate the genre and make things interesting, instead we got grown ass men crying its not fun.. smh

Ya'll be safe tho

No one is Brainwashed but DC stans trynna Jedi Mind Trick folks out here

Breh..... let's simplify this a little

Its not about Batman (no one believes that it's finished, if you saw someone say that, you fell for someones troll game) and its not about the bs points of "bu bu bu bu bu bu but this is the Second movie of this franchise"

If you had to personify this movie with say and NBA team, this movie was the 2004 Lakers

The only reason the expectations was sooooooooo high is because this is the movie where you have the BIGGEST DC Comic book history all on screen for the 1st time together. Some would say they are more popular than the Avengers. Was $800 Million a success? Well I guess it depends on what you call success, does making it to the finals but in the end losing means you had a successful season? Maybe so, but this was supposed to be the movie that completely changed the game and blew everything out the park, but it came up short. Again..... not saying this was a bad or shytty movie like a LOT of other people. This was just a "good" movie say like..... I dont know.... like how Reindeer Games was a "good" movie.

And I dont get the shytting on "movies being fun"? DC shows like Flash is fun, Arrow is Fun, Legions, and Supergirl are FUN, and most people loved all them DC show, a lot of of DC movies are FUN. Just cuz something is FUN doesnt mean its a bad thing, and on the flip side, just because something is Dark doesnt mean its great.

Skyline was a dark movie and that was a shytty movie. Fun can come in MANY forms, The Raid was a FUN movie and last summers Mad Max was really a FUN movie and that didnt hurt those movies.

It doesnt have to be "this or that" when it comes comedy and darkness.... there is room for both

Dude, if you don't get the fukk outta here with this bullshyt right here...

Batman is arguably the most popular fictional character in the world, you saying he ain't a draw now??? :pachaha:

hell, most people went to see the movie to see Batman beat up Superman. :mjlol:

And I don't know if it's been said, but the two things that REALLY hurt this movie

1. They should have used and actual well known comic story as a blueprint- or hell, they could have used that Superman/Batman cartoon crossover as a blueprint

2. It's not a great movie.

Didn't they use two of the most well-known comics as a blueprint? Not beat for beat or panel for panel, but certainly they tried to combine some of the key elements of Death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns, no? (I'm not a comic reader, so I'm just basing this on what I've read).

But Deadpool made more domestically than BvS. And BvS is the 2nd film in the DC Universe.

Deadpool made more donestically because Marvel has a better reputation for making crowd pleasing comic book movies, as they should since they have made 20 of them. Compare the comparable. BVS should be compared with Iron Man 2 because that's when both Marvel and DC were on equal footing in terms of movies made.

DC went into alarm mode when they saw Marvel making billions off superhero movies, decided to hit back with a blockbuster, and their 'masterpiece' featuring both of their biggest heavyweights was sort of a flop, story-wise.:cubewtfmayne:

Justice League, Suicide Squad, Justice League, Wonder Woman, the next Batman & Superman and Aquaman films all better be TRIPLE A ULTRA LIT BONAFIDE genre shakers if they want to get within pissing distance of Marvel. I'm not gonna pick sides because I love all superheroes, but DC is crazy slacking right now. All I gotta do is think of Ryan Renold's Green Lantern and I want to throw DC in the :bushesmayne:

No, the fact that an R rated movie made more domestically than BVS should be alarming as hell to the execs at WB. We're talking about a C - D list chracter in Deadpool with a 53 million dollar budget making more money than a movie featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. That's a massive issue.

I know, imagine if China allowed Deadpool, it'd be so far ahead of BvS like throwing salt on the wound.

I'm not even a DC comics fan outside of Batman, I'm just happy to see all these heroes on screen.

A film this big underperforming puts their whole slate of movies in jeopardy.

Wonder Woman better be something outta this world.
