another example of yall cats making shyt up to try to make a point...i've said multiple times now i'd include the 89 batman film as one of his monster draws, so what are you talking about and why are you feeling sorry?....and how does that explain the fact that despite inflation, increase in screens, change in box office landscape, etc., 4 of the movies following that made significantly less money...it doesnt....but i know, since it doesnt, you're gonna keep ignoring that and keep harping on a film that i've already agreed was a box office monster...

and to be clear: i'm not downplaying bats popularity...i've said multiple times he still is one of the most popular figures....him and supe are probably the top 2....i've just been pointing out that you shouldnt tie popularity to movie returns for these 2 characters, like some have tried to...

You said that Superman and Batman "have never been a box office draw" and have been proven wrong multiple times by multiple people. The end.

Uh your claim was 'team ups' = box office return, yet you can't explain why Winter Soldier didn't get there?
3 > 2 why wouldn't I hold on to that one movie? It proves my point.

already explained why: winter soldier wasnt a team up film like BvS, avengers, or CW...those are team up films, winter soldier was not that...that was a cap movie that had a couple of characters in it, but didnt feature them....the same as iron had a couple characters in it, but was just an iron man film, and so on...come on man, you know this....even with that said, winter soldier made more money than iron man 1 and 2, so how again wasnt cap as much a draw in the avengers movies as iron man?....

lol aight man....like i said: if you say so...

'like that'...i said 'they have never been a box office draw like that'....meaning they arent going to do monster box offices, but because of their popularity, they are a safe box office draw....so while the studios know they wont break the bank, they know the movies wont lose money either, which i have said multiple times as well.....and the actual numbers show this...but again, who deals with actual numbers, what people actually say, etc.; just make shyt up to prove a point...i got it now....

You just tried to put Cap, Nick Fury and Black Widow on Ironman's level due to their appearance in the Avengers movies. I'm just pointing out without Ironman they are less than.
If it's 'if I say so' no need to reply. Unless you don't really mean that? lol

5 of his 8 movies didnt exactly blow the box office away...he's had 3 box office monsters (tdk, tdkr, and bvs)....i'll be nice and say 'batman' from 89 was a monster based on the time period....but other than that, nope....same for supe, who is just as popular...

How thoughtful of you to include the 2nd biggest movie worldwide in 1989 :heh:

I guess your definition of a "monster" and "blowing the box office away" is at least #2 domestically and top 4 worldwide for that year?

It's not the comic company.

It's not the iconic-ness of the characters.

It's the movie.

BvS coulda been the greatest thing of all time, but the actual flick was not that good. I give it 3/5. I don't regret seeing it first day. It's just not "like dat".

What I think is being overlooked is: this is not the "real" Superman and Batman. This is some elseworlds shyt. I mean Lex Sr NEVER met Super? He not gonna be in this series AT ALL? Just stupid.

IF THEY USE THE SOURCE MATERIAL THEN THEY MIGHT MAKE DOPE MOVIES.

Don't be reimagining shyt. Take notes from Deadpool. X Men Origins vs the Deadpool movie.

The suits didn't expect for a live action movie starring batman and superman for the first time to hit 900 million, this is a massive success :troll:

The two most popular comic heroes in American history definitely weren't expected to do much more than 800 million :troll:

The suits at DC/WB are definitely popping the champagne over this :troll:

What a fukkin time. I have to salute Marvel for this, they really made a bunch of D list characters more relevant than a combo of fukkin batman and superman :wow: what a fukkin time brehs

What a fukkin time :wow:

It is nuts. The kids growing up these days idolize cap and iron man. My nephew has avengers sheets. You go in target and see cap shyt everywhere.

Marvel even made groot and rocket beloved
