I am not sure I buy the Obama and Nancy didn't want her, if they didn't want her then they should have let it ride out with Biden because what was going to be their plan wanting Biden to drop out with 3 months left?? Getting a completely new nominee not close to Biden would have been a bigger disaster.

Trump was not popular enough to win and was on the ropes with the State of the Union speech showing Biden did. It quelled concerns that he was too old. All Joe had to do was not bomb that debate and he did. After that 45 got glass shrapnel in his ear and still didn't get a poll bump... but Biden was stumbling and sunsetting in real time. That's what prompted the party to panic and basically tell Joe he couldn't win and needed to fall back so they could at least have a fighting chance. People keep forgetting a segment of the party basically forced Pelosi and them to fall back and give Kamala a chance or lose their support.

From what i understand thought... the Dems didn't want him to run again a few years ago but he refused and it cost the party valuable time.

They didn't have a choice. After the Trump vs. Biden debate, Dems knew they were cooked because it reinforced all the concerns people had about Biden's health. Dems where at fault for trying to hide it but it blew up in their faces. A Dem primary should have started last year.
