The only issue with that is both Obama, Nancy, and (George Clooney ) pushed hard for Biden to drop out, there was no one else realistic to replace Biden other than Kamala at that point, so it's hard to believe they didn't have any faith in Kamala but also were the reason Biden dropped out. If true, they should both not be allowed to make any more decisions within the DNC because that would be a terrible plan.

Also, it would have been a bad look if Harris didn't replace Biden on the ticket. The vice president's number one job is to step in if the president can't fulfill their duties. This whole fiasco could have been avoided if Biden chose not to run for reelection last year and you had multiple people run to be the nominee during the primaries.

It just reinforces the fact that damn near anybody could’ve ran against Trump in 2020 and won. Harris was token nomination. Biden simply wanted a “black” women as VP. And the DNC new he could win even if he picked a cat to be his running mate.

This is true, she would not have had access to the $500 million that was already there. Though, what she did prove also is that they could have done a quick primary, because she did not come out and start speaking until 40 days later, and had over $1billion donated quickly. Since that is what was done for her, it could have also been done for another candidate.

I stated before the Democrats had no choice because they would have had to send back the money and then redistributed it to the new candidate, but the donors being able to give her another billion shows I was incorrect in that assertion. With the 1 billion, the new candidate would still have had nearly 3 times the amount trump had in his election champaign chest.
