She'll likely have more freedom than she'd have at Disney, if anything. WB is probably the most hands off of the major studios, especially with big name directors like Ava. Their meddling in DC's films has actually been pretty uncharacteristic of them, and largely was done in response to 1. the films' poor testing and 2. the response to Man of Steel and BvS putting them on edge. And even then, you'll notice they didn't do shyt to Wonder Woman (their biggest hit) and have left Aquaman alone as well (which rumors say is testing great and should be a big hit as well).

I don't see the connection to Guardians of the Galaxy. It'll be more like if the three Thor movies focused on Asgard and the other realms besides Midgard

This can be a standalone movie like Guardians with hints at the wider DCU so it could work.

Trying to make the DCU a huge tapestry so fast is what keeps messing them up.

I remember way back on superherohype boards people wanted Michael Clarke Duncan to be cast as all the big bads like Apacalypse, Thanos, and Darkseid. I was pissed Sony made Apacalypse a cac (or nonblack), and I always envisioned Darkseid as a black man. Tony Todd (Candyman) voiced him in one animated movie. I beleive he needs someone with good acting chops who is on Brolin’s level or better. Someone who has a commanding presence on screen. His voice needs to be done by someone dark, I believe only a black man can pull it off.
