At this point I'm happy to see all these different non cliche titles being made. would've been happy if they had at least set the foundation with the big 3 first but ehh its whatever we've had Supes & Batman flicks since the 80's so i guess it is what it is..
They're def following the comics in the sense that all these films being produced are loosely linked, meaning one of 2 things, they've subtly given up on the idea of a shared universe or are tryna loosen the universe so they can see what works..
Happy for Ava though, this is GREAT news and the buzz she has will make this movie a success

its clear from her choices, she wants a movie with a LORE, BP had one but she passed it cause she didnt know enough of the material, New Gods has a lot of dope lore from world building to different ethics that make New Genesis and Apokolips different.. Static however doesn't have one

Matt Reeves got announced as the Batman director last year and no movement on that.
Nightwing director said I’ll be back when y’all ready to make a move so in the mean time I’ll hit up this dungeons and dragons movie.
Flash movie was supposed to come out this year but WB just now getting the directors for it.
A whole other Joker film with a different actor.
Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2.
Probably some others I’m forgetting.
This probably won’t even be Ava’s next film. She’ll probably direct something smaller again first.

I can get behind New Gods but DC needs to hurry up with this Joker vs Harley movie
