I remember way back on superherohype boards people wanted Michael Clarke Duncan to be cast as all the big bads like Apacalypse, Thanos, and Darkseid. I was pissed Sony made Apacalypse a cac (or nonblack), and I always envisioned Darkseid as a black man. Tony Todd (Candyman) voiced him in one animated movie. I beleive he needs someone with good acting chops who is on Brolin’s level or better. Someone who has a commanding presence on screen. His voice needs to be done by someone dark, I believe only a black man can pull it off.

I would be definitely be happy if a black man got the job.

The only white dude who I can see voicing him is Michael Ironside, other than that give it to a black man.

I'm sorry, but no. I'm not excited about this at all. DC is one of my favorite DC properties and Ava has yet to show that she can direct any kind of fantasy film. I'll hold my breathe but I'm not really stoked about this

yea female diectors for superheros films are meh imo, jenkins did do good with wonder woman but it was an origin pretty hard to botch that and its a female hero so there's that not saying ww2 will suck as i'm looking forward to it but i am curious as to how she will evolve the property and her skills as a director (perhaps she's an outlier). i cnt even say lets wait and see for this knowing dc's track record with announcments and development

I would be excited for this but WB keeps announcing all these films but none are even close to production. They've announced Green Lantern Corps, Gotham City Sirens, The Joker, Batgirl, Nightwing, and The Batman but most don't even have a script, directors, etc.

If they were smart they would get the actor that voiced him in Superman and Justice League to reprise the role.
