I would be excited for this but WB keeps announcing all these films but none are even close to production. They've announced Green Lantern Corps, Gotham City Sirens, The Joker, Batgirl, Nightwing, and The Batman but most don't even have a script, directors, etc.

I'm sorry, but no. I'm not excited about this at all. DC is one of my favorite DC properties and Ava has yet to show that she can direct any kind of fantasy film. I'll hold my breathe but I'm not really stoked about this

Nope. she is a terrible choice and more of the same bullshyt from DC Films.

The only good thing that could come from this is getting a director to focus solely on the New Gods and using them to bring about a reboot of the DC Film universe.

Great announcement but don’t think this is the director to do this. If done right it could be absolutely amazing. And they better put this out before Marvel decides to do a Thanos origin movie with the eternals as that bites heavily from the new Gods(Kirby simply ported an idea from one company to the next).

I knew something was up when Patty Jenkins was giving Ava love for Wrinkle. So I'm pretty sure they're cool.

She needs to learn as much as she can from Patty and also Coogler. Pick their brain on how to bring a different world to life.

I'm not going to bury her cause she failed. She just gotta learn from her mistakes. More importantly LOVE THE MATERIAL not just the character (Barda). Thats what happened with Meg and Wrinkle in Time.

Also with these blockbuster films you can't be everything to everybody. She's gotta keep total focus on the movie. Doing shows, making docs is great...but gotta have that focus on just this movie.

Watching Patty Jenkins get all the love from her 150 million dollar movie, watching Ryan Coogler get critical and box office acclaim from a movie she passed on should push her...

We'll find out what Ava's made of. I'm rooting for her.

That's very possible. And she could get a way with that with Big Barda. Hopefully she finds someone a bit bigger than Gal Gadot to play Big Barda.

People did not like MJ being a non-white woman. In fact, even when she was played by a white woman, she got no love. Ava better read up.

its clear from her choices, she wants a movie with a LORE, BP had one but she passed it cause she didnt know enough of the material, New Gods has a lot of dope lore from world building to different ethics that make New Genesis and Apokolips different.. Static however doesn't have one

Orion would essentially be the protagonist the torn hero conflicted and torn between his birthright. Hell she could even explore the concept of nature vs nurture with him.
