"Excuses are monuments of nothingness, They build bridges to nowhere, Those of us who use these tools of incompetence, Seldom become anything but nothing at all.". :umad:

:wow:

Flashbacks to my fraternal days.

This is exactly why, while I’m out here in Atlanta, it’s Georgia Tech or bust for me as far as getting my MBA, and my company has to pay for it. I just don’t see getting any old MBA from any old college really benefiting me. Plus, I’ve already got student loan debt, and refuse to rack up anymore

Goizueta is ranked higher.

Say what you want but nikkas should be more nicer to the Boule. Them nikkas are looking out even if it's in their own way

I been trying to tell these nikkas. The gems we been dropping in this thread here is even more relevant for Atlanta nikkas. Literally a cheat code......

I think burger flipper dude is on the spectrum. I mean, something is really missing from that story. Aren't there call center jobs in Atlanta that pay better than fast food?

A bad reference or large gap in your work history can torpedo you....the longer you are unemployed, the less attractive you are to employers, regardless of skill.....

Folks just don't understand this and black folks having more small businesses ain't gonna save all of us. Cause at the end of the day those big multi national companies are the ones that do the mass hiring of educated folks and pay the large 50k to 200k salaries. Thats just real talk.

I know latins, africans and asians who got busineses. But even there they paying their folks chicken scraps and the people they employ are basic labors and non degree having folks.

This is all facts.

So miss me with that I was overcharging him shyt
:camby:

You know nothing about the southeast Georgia market

That’s why I asked for more details. You mentioned that you stayed on the coast after the fact. It’s all good though.

Leave that man alone and let him charge what he wants. SMH

Just busting his balls(no homo).

That's a cheat code a lot of people don't know or take the time to understand. There is a reason why my daughter does gymnastics :mjpls:, but she loves it and it gives me time to chop it up with people in the know.

:pachaha: already got one contract out of it........:ohlawd: the game

I’m about to make a thread on this.

This is the biggest cheat code. I got my current gig at a private equity firm from being in a summer league with a Managing Director that I played against. He invited me to the office and we just chopped it up. Hired me. Didn’t even interview.

You know you've made it when the job is a formality.....

But if your ass in defense or government work a brotha and sista have a far easier time getting black folks on. shyt when I worked in DoD I couldn't tell you how many times I seen black managers or directors or regular employees get black folks on.

shyt my boy in DCMA here in Dallas. His manager a sister who a delta. She done messed around set up most of her team with black folks.

You see the same in not for profit where a lot of times black folks hirer their friends.

But like I said in government work, DoD and not for profit its different. Especially cause when times good you got to hirer minorities to get them contracts.
Yep, my supervisor and director are black women who just hire people they know or their kids/nephews. I just got a new co-worker, new to the government. He got it when he interviewed at a job fair and got hired on the spot. Turns out, his mother knows someone that has been at my agency for 20 years and she's friends with my director.

That Black Mecca b.s. is what lands folks in trouble. We've been here 3 years. Moved from the bay area. One thing I've learned is never follow the crowd. The cost of living is going up here like a mofo, they gentrifying and raising the property taxes. Rent going up etc
Bay area has the highest cost of living in the United Sates doesn't it?

Even with the COL is going up it's probably not going to match bay area levels...especially San Francisco.

Legitimately one of my biggest fears as I get older.

And then... There's the United States of Amazon and it's trillion dollar net worth :Wowdreds:

Them streets aren't ready

Literally!!!! 495 is already a hell hole :dbldamn:
395 ain't that much better...!

When I win I bring we with me
This is silly :yeshrug: ...a huge chunk of African Americans with careers "in Atlanta" don't actually live "in Atlanta". You got folks two counties away out in Gwinnett County talking bout they live in Atlanta. As I said before half the folks talking about being from Atlanta aren't even eligible to vote for Atlanta mayor. As soon as that first guy with all the degrees gets a career he's moving out to the burbs with all the others of his ilk(hence outside of the statistical area being studied).:comeon:

Unless they are doing a survey of Atlanta metro:whoa: or better yet a sprawl of Fulton, Clayton, DeKalb, and Gwinnett counties ...otherwise this shyt is silly :yeshrug:
(Still boggles my mind that everything inside the 285 perimeter isn't Atlanta proper)

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Facts. I was reading an article recently about how a lot of the big banks were spreading jobs around the country to low cost areas because it costs too much to keep the workers in New York City. So they’d entice them to move to places like Jacksonville, Salt Lake City and Phoenix where the company could cut their salary by 20% but even with the cut the cost of living would be so much cheaper the worker would come out ahead. Problem was...these banks ended up cutting their jobs AFTER the people relocated away from NY to the smaller cities, and now they couldn’t find anything in places like Jacksonville that paid anything close to the high finance job they had. I’m not trying move anywhere where there’s only a few jobs in my field. You asking for it at that point.

My cousins department in JP Morgan in Philly/DE is relocating to Dallas. He will not be going with them.

A JP Morgan Department in NYC also relocated to Salt Lake City. Ewwwww!

:mjlol: They really think people are going to move to these places for these companies with less pay and the same job requirements and hassle.
