Breh. You're my dude but stop this chicanery right now. Jack Sparrow is at the center of a multi billion dollar franchise that has existed in pop culture for a decade now. He's a fixture at Disney land and comic con, he's played by one of the most popular actors in the world. When your movie makes that much money constantly you are hitting ALL demographics not just 12 year olds.

It doesn't matter. Forrest Gump - the character - transcends film. He's almost borderline on the verge of being an american archetype.

Twilight made a whole bunch of money too but in 25 years no one is gonna know the name Ed Cullen (I had to look that up) or any of those other fakkit vampire kids.

It was the example I used when I made the thread: back to the future is in my top 10 list of favorite movies ever. But I don't think it's one of the 10 greatest flicks ever. 50? Yeah maybe but 10? Nah
