Lmao. Breh, I'm a hip hop head and I assume the BE shyt he is talking about is the fukking Common album with "Are you living in a dream world, is your eyes still green girl" song on it. Come Close was the name of the track.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 In what fukkin world was BE a bigger album than TM101.

And I say that as a Common fan. I love the super lyrical nikkas, but fukking Common doesn't register when it comes to entertainment.

Nah, Be was dope. That was the album he did with Kanye that low key brought him back. Not big as TM101 but respected in its own right.

@I love Latina women speak on how impactful Jeezy was back in the day

I remember the snowman shirts hit the local news and my mama said "yo ass is NOT wearing one of those :usure: " :wow:

He had rap on lock for a few years

I remember a lot of my friends being fans of his music back then and his music had the clubs on lock too

He had some beats that were nice but I’ll be honest, his rhymes were basic and flat as hell

First time I heard him I was like “this is what people are really hyping up?” Lmao

But that era was a very watered down era of rap music and if you had a nice beat to rhyme over and a voice that stood out, most people seemed to gravitate towards it

And say that as someone who even bought The Recession album

But yeah, he just had great promotion and some nice beats but as a rapper, he was flat out bland, boring and basic

Even a lot of those “nice” beats sound horrible now

I'm going to go out on a limb with this one: Jeezy might be the only artist I can think of that delivered a retail album with TM101 that went as hard if not harder than the mixtape in Trap or Die.

I would say 50, but GRODT obviously gave us commercial songs where Jeezy's most commercial song on TM101 was still hard ("Soul Survivor").

I don't think people became fans of Jeezy because he could rap. It was off the charisma over the production. That and he was speaking from the perspective of someone who was still knee deep in the trap. He had quotables even if they weren't lyrical. There were one liners that stuck with you that people stayed quoting.

I remember my brother was like "he can't rap, but the whole cd hard".

This was one of those times where instant classic fit. It was something that was essential listening and people looked at you as a lame if you weren't at least listening to it.

38 on Saturday.

If you know me you know I been plugged with rap nikkas for years and I first logged on here (SOHH) to promote my mans music.

I've been in the studio with a lot of the nikkas that was in Detroit around that time. I got Juvenile and BG phone numbers still in my Google account lol. I been with Buck multiple times and met Tony Yayo once around 06.

Trust me bro. I been out here.

But musically, nobody gives a fukk about Migos or a damn Rich Homie Quan.

Come on breh.

POST ONE SINGLE KNOWN QUOTABLE 🤣🤣🤣

THAT shyt US IMPOSSIBLE WUTH THEM WACK ASS nikkaS BREH.

CONE ON MAN SMH.

Them nikkas don't even rap or have a style of delivery. It's just jibberish behind a beat. Always have been.
you're 9 years younger than me. You see how that works? Jeezy is worse than the mcs generations before him and those after him are worse than him, and you can't convince someone that the Migos are trash even though you hear it yourself. The way you feel about the migos is the way I feel about Jeezy
