Just basic creativity and cleverness, Jeezy is Rhakim compared to a nikka like NBA Young boy.

Them nikkas don't even fall in the category of rap imo. That's a whole different type of music.

I can honestly say, I've never heard a Young boy song id play in my own car. None of that shyt is good imo, not even for the style it represents.
Jeezy ain’t Rakim compared to anyone

The resentment never goes away....:youngsabo:...... how many bytches you lose to street dudest to keep this energy coming up on 20 years?:umad:
If I lose a chick to a street dude, then he's done me a favor :russ: . I aint the chick chasing type. Women got a standard, and so do I. For the record, in my city, my family was the most notorious group in the history of its existence aside from the KKK. My cousins were always robbing someone, stealing, assaulting, shooting someone, etc. Some of them didn't make it to the age of 30. Many spent years in prison. I didn't choose that lifestyle. I'm proudly Tre/Sharif to you wannabe ass nikkaz. I can go in any hood in my city even at this age(the same age as Jeezy btw) that I want. I have associates that wear red and associates that wear blue. I personally think all of this shyt is stupid, so I'm not impressed with someone claiming they are from the streets or being in it cuz I got an arsenal of LEGAL guns too. I've seen it first hand and the ending is never good. But if that's what you're infatuated with, then, that's your life.

I always rocked wit nikkas like Banks and Fab and Gza and Ghost face, and Scarface, and Canivus and ect.

But when Young Jeezy hit the scene, that shyt was legendary. I was always a fan of prime 50, so that grimey hustler shyt always got me rocking. That deep and dark NY lyricism probably ended its peak around that time, but dudes like Jeezy and TI filled that gap perfectly imo.

IDGAF what any nikka says, Jeezy was creative and clever with his trap music, and I don't think that shyt was ever topped in that style. I also think Jeezy, TI, and Young Buck was the best shyt coming out of the South. Everything was energetic and got your body rocking , with each artist presenting a different style.

Even with the differences, I think that period of music was legendary.

From your hood, what was the vibe?

All facts. As a NY nikka when the South started to rise I heavily appreciated their different styles. Still remember first time I heard TI spit on a some dipset DVD or something way back in the day. First time I heard Luda. First time I heard Project Pat and Juicy J. Legendary styles.

Jeezy was a fukking alien though.

His straight up rapping is pretty basic, but he’s horrific when he’s doing all that sing songy whiny voice distortion. I don’t see how those 14 year olds that go up for him can listen to 19 straight tracks of his like they do. He stinks.

38 on Saturday.

If you know me you know I been plugged with rap nikkas for years and I first logged on here (SOHH) to promote my mans music.

I've been in the studio with a lot of the nikkas that was in Detroit around that time. I got Juvenile and BG phone numbers still in my Google account lol. I been with Buck multiple times and met Tony Yayo once around 06.

Trust me bro. I been out here.

But musically, nobody gives a fukk about Migos or a damn Rich Homie Quan.

Come on breh.

POST ONE SINGLE KNOWN QUOTABLE 🤣🤣🤣

THAT shyt US IMPOSSIBLE WUTH THEM WACK ASS nikkaS BREH.

CONE ON MAN SMH.

Them nikkas don't even rap or have a style of delivery. It's just jibberish behind a beat. Always have been.
This I believe :dame: :mjlol:

He had rap on lock for a few years

I remember a lot of my friends being fans of his music back then and his music had the clubs on lock too

He had some beats that were nice but I’ll be honest, his rhymes were basic and flat as hell

First time I heard him I was like “this is what people are really hyping up?” Lmao

But that era was a very watered down era of rap music and if you had a nice beat to rhyme over and a voice that stood out, most people seemed to gravitate towards it

And say that as someone who even bought The Recession album

But yeah, he just had great promotion and some nice beats but as a rapper, he was flat out bland, boring and basic

Even a lot of those “nice” beats sound horrible now

I forgot you turned your back on us bammas so you could front as a New Yawker :mjpls:

That’s the impression you got from my response? :russ:

I’m older than you young blood, I grew up listening to OutKast, Scarface, 8Ball and MJG, etc etc:mjgrin:
