Smh.. let me look for what I said. My stance was from a Jamaicans pov.

**Update

Yup.. Def didnt say shyt about Africans. I said Jamaicans consider themselves BLACK but will call themselves JAMAICAN (rightfully so). I also said AA's look down on foreigners just like foreigners look down on AA's.

I dont think special treatment is given to foreigners. If anything they get treated horribly especially when first entering the country.

At the end of the day non-blacks see us all as black people. They dont give a shyt about where you come from.

Not really, those in Europe (from what I've seen) usually identify themselves by their mother country.. and obviously Negropeans don't have a shared ancestral history coming from different parts of the diaspora so it isn't in an ethnic sense when they mention color.

The only other groups who do something similar are in Latin/Hispanic America.

Black people in Europe very much call themselves "Black". That goes all the way back to the negritude movement and panafricanism, and still goes on. shyt even before, unde the colonies you already had Black Students Associations and whatnot.

They ALSO identify with their county of origin because they know what that country is, but identities are not exclusive.

Since African are usually 100% Black in terms of their DNA, how can they not be Black? Africa Americans are usually around 20-30% European, while Africans (especially West and Central Africans) have zero non Black DNA, so who is more Black?

These brehs are confused.

If this guy isn't Black, what is he lol

so its different....

You implied Black Europeans identify with their mother country as opposed to with the term "Black", which is false. Of course it's different, since Black Americans don't know where they come from as opposed to Black Europeans. I don't know why you brought Black Europeans in the discussion.

Gotta disagree

Ask an AA "Are you Nigerian or Haitian" and you're much more likely to get "No, I'm Black" than from a Negropean who is likely to give you actually countries of origin. The former is using it as a racial and ethnic label the latter is using it simply as a racial label.

Of course, since the definition of "African American" is Black people who are slave descendants. How would they know if they're Nigerian or Haitian?

If you go ask any Black person in Europe if they're Black they'll say "Well what colour do you think I am" :gucci::mjlol:

And if you go ask a Breh with Nigerian origins if he's Haitian he'll say no, he's Nigerian (of course, since that's what he is). Doesn't mean he isn't Black lol

I don't what's so hard to undertsand. You're acting like Nigerians aren't Black :gucci:

Racially...We are all in one category.
Ethnicity? #AAGANG made black a "hot song"

But Aframs didn't start the usage of the term "black", though. Historically, you have always been called: negroes.

If you've read Shakespeare, you'd know about the "blackamoors" (black moors) in medieval England. And the origin of the term "black British" predates the usage with Aframs. The first black Brits (I'm talking about the usage of the term "black" here) were the thousands of black people taken from England to Sierra Leone to start a colony there in 1787.

No one made it hot - it's a general classification for all people of African descent.

This is some low intellect shyt right here. If your melanated and come from Africa then you're black. My brothers and I range in features but our heart and minds are African. They want us to fight amongst ourselves over nonsense like this.

I understand some of the resentment because too many of us Africans are here benefitting from the struggle of AAs and not acknowledging this or building or even strengthening our connections. But realize also there are Africans who think like me and want to be in the front lines for AAs. My family has AAs in it too I don't think we're any different.

Also stated that AA's were uniquely affected by white supremacy unlike any other group on this planet including other people of African descent.

For whatever reason some Black Americans seem to think that they are the alpha and omega of all things Black. The "Code Noir" ("Black Code") was written in 1685 :gucci:
