I blame it on these conservative white people. They don't want this country to move forward. And not only are they the majority of this country but they have the majority in the senate as well. Gonna be hard for us to make progress in this country if they continue to disregard people's needs and only look to maintain and enforce their conservative views.
Every problem this country has is because of white people and not just conservatives either

She's trash and she's not winning shyt.

I disagree that she is trash.

But I do worry that the latter might be true. I hope republicans don't run a smear campaign and destroy her. (They will tho lol).

There is a lot of hate for her and it's only going to magnify as she stays in politics. At this point, I hope she wins statewide first. :beli:

We're stuck with Biden because the DNC and Barack Obama sabotaged Bernie Sanders

Nah, we stuck with Biden as the nominee cuz bernie lost. Fair and square.

Twice.

Bernie never lost the black vote, he never had it. Ya can't blame bernie's lack of outreach to black voters (which is critical to win the primary) on Obama and Biden.

I support bernie and the cause but as a collective we gotta accept the L and grow from it.

Blaming everybody else won't change reality. :aicmon:

Explain Sanders being vastly more popular than Biden with young Black people -

My dad is a blue-collar union man from Alabama and was on the Sanders train over the Biden train once we talked over policy. Outreach doesn't necessarily outdo name-recognition and fear mongering.

I don't think there's any question - he was undermined by the DNC.

And now with renewed criticism after the centrist sect of the party failed to deliver - somehow the "progressive" wing of the party is catching smoke.

Making things "blame" instead of "calling out the mistakes and malicious actions of the DNC centrists" is how you build a narrative where the Republican-lite doesn't have to learn their lesson.

She is not perfect...but she is willing to say and take stances that are difficult and that the rest of the party is too p*ssy to say

And she aint afraid to let the chopper fly at the Republicans

You do realize that biden won exclusively from the black vote right?

Like literally, everywhere where a centrists agenda was "popular," he lost. Maybe Arizona is the only place that was purple that went to Biden. He won in states that had MASSIVE BLACK TURNOUT PERIOD. You don't need to pander to white people to win the presidency. Remember, Biden is winning but Trump has more votes THAN ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN IN AMERICAN HISTORY AND THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF WHITES THAT ANY OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

And still fukking lost because of black turnout in swing states. GEORGIA fukkING FELL. It's time to get gangsta with policies.
Except Sanders who is way far more left than Biden(and likely the source of a lot of AOC's ideals) got stomped by Biden among black voters.

Anyways, as for the thread topic, not a fan of dotted I's and crossed T's of Socialism(shyt sounds good in broad stokes but not so much in details) nor am I a fan of toxic "wokeness"(love how white people co-opted that word :beli: ) and cancel culture bullshyt but I do have a lot more respect for AOC than I do other politicians

I thought young black folks didn't decide it was mostly older black folks that preferred biden over bernie. :ohhh:

I know most young black folks don't like biden and overwhelmingly prefer bernie, But the youth aren't outnumbering their older counterparts in primaries. Which frustrates me.

Where he lost was with the older black vote.

You make great points about fear mongering, but I also think there’s mental calculation that a lot of older black folks make. They support the economically progressive policies Sanders put forth, but don’t trust white people to choose a candidate with policies that require them to share their wealth in a federal election.

They backed Biden because they cannot afford four more years of Trump, and know that white people will never choose a democratic socialist over a corrupt business man. They cannot afford to vote on principles - they need someone who can win.
I don't have actual sources, it's just what I noticed from talking with older black voters.

I feel like that's where bernie fukked up. He should have focused more on building relationships with core black democratic base. He didn't and that's why he lost.

Twice.

I think they attention got to her head, which happens with most people who get into the public eye. But when a politician becomes a pop culture figure, they sometimes go overboard to keep getting attention.

Yall Twitter is destroying AOC cuz they saying she almost lost biden the election:mjlol:

What's y'all thoughts on this :francis:

What's happening is what always happened, which is why I stopped voting.

See, now that Biden's in office, he's got a lot of people who now want him to pay them what he owes them., namely the left.

Now, Biden has to figure out a way to justify being what he's been his entire life, Republican-lite, so he's sent out the two c00ns who rode the hardest for him, Cedric richmond and the man who gets millions from health insurance companies to make sure we don't get Universal healthcare, James Clyburn to purposely come out and attack AOC and the left-wing activists who energized all of those young people and black people to vote for him.

See, they've named "Green New Deal" "Defund The Police" and "Medicare For All" as reasons they didn't take the Senate & House. that way they can justify no even fighting for those things in the slightest and bowing down to the Republicans on those issues. Nevermind that the candidates who actually supported those things in swing districts overwhelmingly got elected and those things (except defund the police) have great massive support in America.

They didn't even wait ONE day after Joe Biden became president-elect to attack young people, Black people, and the left in general.

I am so glad I got off that plantation:yeshrug:

Dude, Americans are not that conservative.

Green New Deal, $15 minimum wage, Medicare For All, gay marriage, abortion, and citizenship for illegals all enjoys like 60-70% popularity in America.

The reason those things don't win is because our government isn't a government of the people, it's a government of the billionaire class who make sure our politicians don't push those things.:francis:
