I still want to know what boys should wear to curb temptation from predators. Or is it different for them?:francis:

I'd like to know the awnser to this, too...because it seems like as of late it's a lot of Female Pervert Teachers
preying on young boys...and Erykah Badu or nobody else has chit to say for young men/boys, now do they?

Most men are always gonna be hyper sexualized creatures but if you walk outside in bra and panties talking about "How I dress doesn't define me" then you're pretty much opening the door for the world to harass you.

Like, you're inviting people to look at you MORE sexually then they normally would, which leads to more guys willing to talk to you, which means more harassment. This isn't rocket science.

And no, kids shouldn't be wearing that anyway.

umm yes women DO rape men, its just laughed at lets not rewrite history and make this a ''men are the devil'' spin..

if you wanna do that, then blame your biological make up for giving you hormones, did i say anything about it being right.. i said not being able to control yourself is wrong but lets not try and say its okay for women to dress provocatively and think hormones wont kick in.. THATS HUMAN NATURE, not man made, not technology made, its WHAT WE WERE BORN WITH

and like i said before.. lets take away the police and our locks and bolts since weve been taught stealing and killing is wrong since you wanna go there and see hat kind of world we live in
Women also grope men allllll the time! Feeling on their arms and chest. Smacking their ass. Eyeing their package. Or they do more passive stuff like showing off, being sexually suggestive, etc.

People get emotional and forget everything that doesnt fit or help their argument. I do it too but that's why you have to remain calm and rational when you are discussing these types of topics. If things get to personal your judgement gets clouded.

Well first, I wouldn't because a 15 year old walking to algebra class is in a middle or high school, somewhere that I as an adult am not and have no reason to be

and I would think "I wonder if that girl has problems and if her parents know she's dressing like that". That's it.

So then what's wrong with people like Erykah Badu who are parents not wanting their child to be "dressing like that"
at school, because that's something a grown person would wear to a completely different environment?

Wasn't gonna respond to everyone in this thread: http://www.thecoli.com/threads/hotep-on-hotep-violence-erikha-badu-vs-twitter-feminists.418344/

So I decided to create a separate one just to air my grievances about this flawed ass logic that girls/women should dress a certain way in order to avoid being violated/attacked.

It doesn't matter what a woman/girl wears. They can and are often subjected to objectification, harassment, etc. by men just for being of the opposite sex. I know first-hand since I've experienced these things from the beginning stages of puberty to now. And I was ALWAYS fully clothed; usually wore hoodies, jeans, and t-shirts.

Even women in the Middle East whom wear hijabs (a clothing item that covers everything but their eyes) are sexually assaulted and raped.

Why isn't the onus being put on predators to stop being fukking predators? Or for creeps to stop being fukking creeps? Why is Erykah talking about men as if y'all are barbaric creatures that are controlled by their dikks and incapable of acting like civilized human beings? :dahell:

What about boys who get targeted and abused? Should they watch what they wear as well to prevent the same fate? Don't y'all see how fukking stupid this sounds? The focus should be punishing the people who target the victims, not dictating what the victims wear as if that's somehow correlated to a pervert's attraction to them.

I'm just a run of the mill lookey loo not someone who would attack - or hardly ever even speak to - a strange woman.

When I do get my peek on or even follow a fat booty for an aisle or two in the supermarket:

It's ALWAYS a woman who is showing her goods. I see a pair of leggings, short shorts, a low cut top, or no bra and my antenna goes up instantly.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the idea that 1) people can wear what they like or 2) crazy people who accost strangers should be punished and/or eliminated.

I just don't think the solution is telling them to chill out. While we're at it, why don't we walk through a high crime area at night with a bag full of cash. You have every right to. And while we're at it: stick up kids operate by the exact same rules. They pick based on what the person is wearing. Same guy can roll through the hood in a 2002 Corolla in a dingy sweatsuit and hardly be noticed or he can roll through in the newest Beamer dipped in jewels. He's likely to have a different outcome.

Besides the people who would try to force themselves on a woman, what about the guy who is smooth and raps to them and gets the digits? Do you really want a 15 YO catching his eye and maybe fronting about her age? Or him seeing something that makes him wanna risk it anyway? If girls who were too young dressed in a way to signify that they are underage, that might stop some of them getting caught up with older dudes.

You must not have seen me say a million times that there is nothing wrong with an appropriate dress code.

My problem is with people who overly sexualize young teens. As if their clothing choices somehow have the ability to override the fact that they are not adult. Kids need to be protected, before anything else. Just like I don't think it's okay to racially profile kids or for them to be harrassed by police, I don't think it's okay to shove adult sexuality down their throats either. Teach your kids to be modest. It saves a lot of trouble. But when you start foaming at the mouth calling little kids sluts and subjecting them to adult sexual politics, you're fukking up.
I don't even know what to call it but creepy.

Think about it some nikkas will dust your pockets whether you dress like a bum or not, but theyre more likely to do it if you wear a big ass chain around your neck.

Same sht with a rapist, some will rape a chick regardless of how she looks but theyre more likely to rape a chick that turns them on sexually because her ass and titties out.
