I'm disappointment in u bro, As of now you're here by stripped of your atheist title from the "National Atheist Heathen Association" bro. The hope you have in these politicians is no different than the faith religious people have in their holy books/prophets. You are just like them now

Kill urself fakkit

hope? These rich nikkas don't share ur values u broke ass nikka, they just want ur vote so they can style on you more :russ:

Uh, no actually. Unlike prophets, politicians actually exist. Ultimately, change comes from the people, but politicians are the means by which we can do it. You're a god damn fool if you think Obama and Jesus are exactly the same.

I don't care if they don't share my values, or give a fukk about me. Honestly, I don't give a fukk about them. All I want is for them to vote the way I want them to vote, and implement the laws I want them to. If they can't, or won't do it, then fukk 'em, I wouldn't vote. I'm not convinced Obama isn't one of those politicians.

true, true. Best to not vote and let the white guy who's gonna do the same thing take office so he can completely screw you over.

My 18 year old asked me today what the difference between the democrats and republicans was and i finally figured it out.

Scenario 1:
Imagine you're walking down the street, out of nowhere you get smashed in the back of the head, you get raped and robbed of every last penny, then your left for dead. - - That's what happens when republicans are in office.

Scenario 2:
Imagine you're walking down the street, out of nowhere you get smashed in the back of the head, you get raped and robbed of every last penny, then as the guy is getting up off of you he tosses you back a couple of bucks, gives you a hug and tells you it'll be ok. - - That's what happens when democrats are in office.

:manny:
i don't know about you but i'm gonna get a hug and some money out the deal.
:(

i love the spirit in here :ahh:

but remember on the flip side that voting in local elections can be extremely beneficial.

you usually only have to mobilize a few thousand votes to get your candidate in, and the policies you can effect on the local level actually have a great significance on your quality of life.

Listen, OP, those social issues mean enough to me to be motivated to vote in every election. I realize the candidates of the two major parties are practically identical, I'm not an idiot. But, I'd rather have people in office who share my values in those issues. Not voting means the other candidate has a better chance at winning. Plus I live in a battleground state. No, we can't afford to have your mindstate.

And to your last post ... sure, maybe no major changes happen between election cycles, but you don't think this country has changed because of government since it's foundation? Of course a President can't get elected and make radical changes to the system, but if like-mineded persons are in office consistently, then that change will happen over time. That's the hope I have.
Exactly how I feel.

The last president that REALLY tried to make some changes got his sh1t split. THAT should tell you who really got the ball on their court.

people fought for my right to vote. i owe it to my forefathers to go in that booth and vote. i don't think Obama is my savior and i never did. i knew 4 years from when he got my first vote things wouldn't be much different but honestly they didn't get worse. hell my life is way better than it was 4 years ago but i feel like the country itself got better even if it wasn't drastic and fast improvement. its been very slow and steady.

i get the feeling if Romney got in there he'd roll back all that shyt Obama did and we'd go back to Bush style policies and shyt would take a nosedive. tax cuts and deregulation to let crooks turn the economy into their playground.
