I have two words: Federal Taxes. If you don't care about any other issue, you should at least vote for the one who wants to tax you the least. That shyt affects most people with a job...especially if you don't have any children.
It's sad to see Blacks so apathetic to voting and the political process. I think it stems partly from ignorance but also from fatalism. Hispanics are poised to surpass you economically and politically..... if they haven't done so already.
Voting in the federal election is not the end all, be all of political process. If your not going to vote in that...at least vote and be active in local politics.
But, I can't see someone who is too lazy or cynical to vote in the federal election to actually get involved in politics on the state or municipal levels.

Tax people the least affect most people with jobs negatively?
How does this make sense when the investment of tax dollars are the primary source of job creation in this country?
The problem with TOM's stance on not voting is that it conviently ignores all the stuff that presidents do that do affect your life.

Federal income tax is only 1 of about 40 different taxes that we pay my man. If your overall taxes have gone down then good for you. I wish I could say the same.

But either way, it shows how much of these so called Higher Learning nikkas know about the system. If you want to see political activism done right, we need to see the Latino community, these folks have damn near made the same amount of progress in 15 years that Blacks have made in the past 30 plus. They are not only politically active but they vote at every level, you have politicians on both sides begging for their vote.

Tax rates rates have not changed since the year 2000, when that change occurred they actually went down.
