How many of those replying with advice are non-American? I will be honest: real hood nikkas ain't got the money to travel to the next city, let alone a whole nother country for days (or weeks) at a time. Many of them barely leave the block/neighborhood.

So now you have folks talking about going multiple times, as well? That's not college study abroad/teach English.

I never had any issues bringing toys back. I actually had the G1 Megatron Gun in Gun form in my carry on luggage one time and had no issues. Toy stores are everywhere. Bic Camera is popular store that has many locations all over and has the latest of everything with floors dedicated to toys, electronics, playstation, etc. MANDRAKE is where you need to go for vintage toys. Think everyone else has you covered. There is a Starbucks in Harajuku right down the street from Harajuku station with SPECTACULAR views of the city. Its at the top of a building and you will miss it if you dont know its there. They have a roof garden. (For some reason Starbucks in Tokyo has all the good real estate).

I was military stationed in Okinawa. I always found some bs reason to go TDY to the mainland like every 3 months

Its going to depend on who has Business Class seats available for the flight
We got that 744 flying out of LAX with those Lie-Flat seats to Narita,
The good thing about the long flight is that I will be in Business Class regardless

My coworker was telling me at Narita Airport that all I have to do is show my passport that they plug me with a bullet train ticket and like a weeks worth of metro tickets

My homeboy works for American airline so he got me that first class ticket for the low low


And trust me some spots in roppongi R not touristy . Go with someone that knows the area. My boy was stationed out there so I was lucky enough to go almost everywhere.


Cabs r everywhere so it's not hard to get around.

thanks for tagging me but I dont live in Japan, I live in Africa. I'm actually going to Tokyo for the first time in one month myself. lol. I made this thread a week ago

My ticket is booked, and I have day and night tour booked as well as my friend who's showing me around (Im doing the tour while he's at work, then going to do the non-tourist stuff with him after work)
